It was the last song that Fishmans ever performed and they nailed it.

ما را به «تحسین‌برانگیز‌ترین آلبوم لایو تاریخ» خود این گمان نبود.
می‌گن تو دهه هفتاد اگر از کنار هر فروشگاه موسیقی رد می‌شدی احتمالا یه نفر رو می‌دیدی که تلاش می‌کرد «اکسیژن ۴» رو بنوازه. آلبوم «اکسیژن» چند سال قبل انقلاب منتشر شد و تبش تا بیش از ده سال هم ایران رو گرفت. این رو زیاد شنیدم که برای گوش ایرانی‌هایی که با موسیقی الکترونیک نا آشنا بود، «اکسیژن» اسم دیگر موسیقی الکترونیک بود. به این صورت که می‌گفتن:«آهنگ اکسیژنی گوش می‌دی؟/اکسیژن جدید چی داری؟» حتی اگر اون آهنگ رو ژان میشل ژار نساخته بود.
At 04:37 Shinji Sato starts singing. One line and you are already in love with him, his voice and his romantic lyrics. He's guiding you into a dream.
09:20 which initiates the second part. One of the greatest parts I've ever heard in music. The drums, the melody, the bass. Everything is perfect. It's a crescendo of emotions which by Sato's passionate singings, reaches its peak at 12:37 and leaves you at awe. For the overkill, those beautiful piano chords that follow make you more mesmerized. Gorgeously you're in heaven!
29:30 crying strings lead you to one of the most majestic guitar solos of all time!
32:16 Sato is screaming. Out of joy? Out of pain? Life is overwhelming to him.
33:21 NA NA NA NA NA and a beautiful cello plays a variation of the main theme
34:00 Sato is still screaming faintly in the background. The arpeggio is getting distorted, turning into an Electrocardiograph sequence and the deadly silence that follows it. The Long Season is over.

هر سال عادت دارم که روزهای پایانی سال میلادی را با پاس‌داشتِ یکی از بندهای مورد علاقه‌ام (Fishmans) بگذرانم. آن‌ها با آخرین اجرای‌شان در 28 دسامبر 1998 علاوه بر میخ‌کوب کردن آن جمعیت نسبتا کم ولی وفادار حاضر در کنسرت، عدد 981228 را برای همیشه در قلب طرفدارانشان حک کردند.
ترانه Long Season با آن آرپژیوی تکرارشونده‌ای که برایم تداعی کننده بارش قطرات باران است، مرا به مزارع اطراف خانه‌مان روانه می‌ساخت و باعث می‌شد با طبیعت سبز زندگی‌آفرینی که از آن غافل بوده‌ام انس بگیرم. در زیر باراش قطرات باران با این ترانه رقصیدم، خندیدم و از پس پایان تراژیک ترانه گریستم. Long Season از زندگی نمی‌گوید، Long Season خود زندگی است که به اصوات شرقی ترجمه شده است. شجاعم می‌سازد. روشنم می‌دارد.
