A quick clarification Based on the recent uploads, we wanted share that the view held by this page is that image making of beings with a soul or imagery where faces are shown is haram, be it photography or emojis. There is a very long debate on this issue, especially when it comes to digital imagery, and scholars have allowed it in some instances, such as in cases of necessity or need, or sometimes when there is a great benefit (such as the lessons from our scholars). As matter of fact, we have used pictures in our videos before and this is why we wanted to clarify in order to avoid any confusion. If you check our videos generally speaking (unless we have skipped something), we have used pictures to identify the speakers and they are deviants most of (if not all) the time. We have consulted a scholar on this matter, of course, who said this was allowed as it can make people aware of who the deviant is by identifying him. And we can also avoid empty accusations by the people of misguidance and innovation, if we clearly show who the deviant is, the things he said and the people he associates with. Also many deviant people are very famous so it’s possible that their videos will continue to be shown to the future generations (if Allah allows it), so that identifying them it can result in greater benefit. This is our opinion on this matter and may Allah guide us and forgive us if we have exceeded the limits. And may this also serve as a reminder for those who keep using or making images and as an encouragement to try to move away from doing this action. As some say, better safe than sorry. بارك الله فيكم

قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله: فإذا ظهر من العبد الذنب فلا بد من ظهور التوبة ومع الجحود لا تظهر التوبة، فإن الجاحد يزعم أنه غير مذنب؛ ولهذا كان السلف يستعملون ذلك فيمن أظهر بدعة أو فجورا. مجموع الفتاوى  (٣٠٣/١٥) Sheikh Al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, said: If a sin is made apparent from the servant of Allah, then repentance must also be apparent. And repentance is not shown with denial; for the denier claims that he is not guilty.
