Per quanto riguarda le malattie, vi darò un esempio. Il termine "virus" in latino significa veleno o tossina. I virus non sono organismi come, ad esempio, i batteri. Non sono altro che "file di informazioni" sotto forma di codice RNA o DNA, circondati da materiale biologico, senza il quale non potrebbero penetrare nell'organismo. Per spiegare meglio, immaginiamo che il virus sia un pilota automatico, una sorta di software, e il materiale biologico sia l'aereo. Quando il virus entra nell'organismo, ha le cosiddette proteine spike (spuntoni) con le quali si aggancia alla cellula per penetrarla.
