Footage of a shootout between Montreal Metro PD and a lone gunman armed with what appears to be an SKS carbine, which left the shooter, 1 officer and 1 civilian dead, another officer injured. The civilian was killed by a female officer as he ran around a corner for cover, mistaking him for the gunman.
The civilian involved is claimed to be local Chabad Rabbi, Michael Moshe Mizrahi. The attack took place in the largely Jewish neighborhood of Côte-des-Neiges at 1130.
The shooter appears to be a white male wearing a Chinese milsurp chestrig along with an unmodified 7.62x39mm SKS, with a bayonet attached. Media is reporting him as "a teenager loner know to participate in online incel culture" and is claimed to have left a misanthropic hate manifesto relating his desire to kill as many people as possible. The first ever transgender legislator elected to office in the United States, Stacie-Marie Laughton (POWERWORD: Barry Laughton) has been sentenced to 33 years in prison for sexual exploitation of children, including creating and distributing child pornography. He was involved in a scheme with a one 'Lindsay Groves' who operated a New Hampshire early daycare center, where the two conspired together to abuse the small children on camera in order to distribute the material online.
Laughton has a long string of prior charges, including defrauding emergency response services and making persistent terroristic bomb threats to public buildings, prior to his being elected to office.
