The infant was unresponsive, and Central EMS personnel responded to the scene and notified the coroner.
Zamora’s mother, identified in the report as Carielle Robinson, also responded to the home. Authorities noted that Hudson had been temporarily caring for the child at the home of Hudson, who was her former foster mother.
Animal Control officers responded and took possession of the Cane Corso involved in the incident.
The home was being used as a foster placement and, according to the report, also housed seven foster children ranging in age from 5 to 17.
In a prior statement, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said deputies secured the scene immediately, removed all occupants safely, and began interviewing witnesses while investigators processed evidence.
Officials have not said whether any charges are being considered. Investigators continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The tragedy comes as Cane Corsos are sometimes promoted for adoption in the Augusta area. In a November post, Friends of Augusta Animal Services highlighted a Cane Corso as a “big, lovable” dog but also cautioned that the breed requires experienced ownership due to its size, strength, and protective instincts.
3 days, no issue.
Day 4 changed everything.
Samantha Hessler was dog sitting an XL pit bull that she had been around for days without incident—until it suddenly snapped. Inside her own garage, the dog launched a brutal, unprovoked attack, clamping onto her arm and violently shaking with a vice-like grip.
Her 16-year-old daughter, Kanaya, heard the screams and ran toward the danger, suddenly launching her own attack. She fought to save her mother, kicking and stabbing the dog repeatedly. Nothing worked, until she stabbed its eye, finally forcing the beast to release. Unfortunately it wasn’t over.
As Kanaya tried to get her mother to safety, the dog attacked again; this time latching onto Samantha’s leg with the same relentless force.
Somehow, the teenager got her mother inside and to safety.
Samantha survived—but at a cost. After multiple surgeries an a month in the hospital, doctors recommended amputation. She refused. Her arm was saved, but it will never function again.
A normal day turned catastrophic in seconds.
A dog that displayed no prior issues to Samantha for days became life-altering without warning.
Samantha’s life was forever changed, with a long and painful road of recovery, however she remains forever grateful that her brave 16-year-old did what she had to do to keep her mother alive.
Woman mauled to death by her two pit bulls in #irvingtexas after several previous incidents. The pit bulls were being quarantined after the prior attacks, which can be heard in the #911 audio clips.
The owner was visiting her two pit bulls while they were still being quarantined, when the dogs unleashed a vicious mauling. The attack were so severe that she ultimately succumbed to her injuries. Additional audio clips described the chaos that erupted at the clinic.
Police responded to the call, shooting and killing both dogs in order to secure the scene. No additional injuries were reported.

13 year old #hero attempted to save baby from being viciously mauled by her mother’s three #pitbulls while she was babysitting the young child. 1 year old Jiryiah was rushed to the hospital in critical condition where he sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
When the dogs started to attack the baby, the teenager desperately tried to protect him but ended up in a 'tug-of-war for the baby' with one of the dogs, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said.
'She made every effort possible, even lifting that baby over her head, but my understanding is the dog climbed onto something and was able to get the baby out of her hands,' he told in a media press.
The other two dogs jumped into the attack as the girl ran around the house trying to get the child away from the dogs. She tried to take Jiryiah into the bathroom, but the dogs broke through the door and continued their chase.
Realizing the danger, she tried to get her cellphone to call for help.
The teen tried to shut her and Jiryiah in a bedroom to wait for the police to arrive, but the dogs bit through and wrecked the door to get inside the room. After help arrived and contained the dogs, they were both taken to the hospital.
The mother, Heather Rodriguez, was ultimately arrested on a $100,000 bond. Bexar county sheriff Salazar noted that Rodriguez appeared to be primarily concerned about the dogs after the incident. It was also previously reported that Rodriguez was issued citations the previous April after a man was trapped in his car after the same dogs tried to attack him. —Fall 2024

"So he’s a “great dog, trained and listens well”, yet is completely unpredictable, has bitten 3 people, and is currently the subject of a lawsuit, all in the same description. 🥴
How is it that this dog still has a FOURTH opportunity to attack someone!?!"
A woman is taking legal action after a trial adoption of a bully breed dog ended in a catastrophic, life-altering attack—raising serious questions about public safety and systemic failure.
Elisa Falzon and her husband were given the dog by Animal Welfare, where it had been repeatedly advertised as “tame, calm, and suitable for family life.” Just five days later, that narrative collapsed.
After showing aggression toward the couple’s existing dog, the bully breed launched a sudden, unprovoked, and ferocious attack on Falzon. It mauled her arms, dragged her from inside the home into the garden, and continued the assault until it briefly stopped to drink water—giving her a narrow chance to escape and lock herself inside, despite her arms being too severely injured to function.
She arrived at hospital with deep bite wounds, a fractured hand, major arterial damage, and critical blood loss, hovering near death for days. The aftermath was devastating:
* Left forearm amputated
* Permanent nerve damage to the right arm
* Fractured hand requiring plates and screws
* 17 scars and extensive skin grafting
* 62% physical disability, plus 30% PTSD-related disability
She endured 12 weeks in hospital and over 50 hours of surgery, with lifelong medical care ahead—including prosthetics and full-time assistance.
Falzon’s case centers on what her lawyers describe as clear systemic failures. Authorities allegedly failed to properly assess the dog’s behavior, misrepresented it as safe, and withheld critical history. The shelter itself was reportedly understaffed, lacking qualified behaviorists, and operating under poor conditions with inadequate oversight.
Despite being responsible for the dog during the trial adoption, authorities allegedly placed it into a home environment without the safeguards necessary to protect adopters.
Now permanently disfigured and unable to return to her normal life or career, Falzon is seeking damages for medical costs, loss of income, and long-term care—while holding officials accountable for decisions that turned a promoted “family pet” into a near-fatal outcome.
