In a world where people fight for power, money, and status, where some are willing to compromise their principles and even change themselves for the sake of gain, I'm increasingly realizing one simple truth: The most valuable thing is not to lose yourself. You can achieve a lot, reach a high position, have money and influence. But for me, true success is to go through all of that and remain a decent person. Not to change your values depending on who is in front of you. Not to look down on people. Not to forget where you came from. Ultimately, positions change, money comes and goes, but the kind of person you were remains.

Liftoff Founders Week (London) — 5 days, £1,000 stipend, travel and accommodation included, for those who want to start an AI safety organization. A week where you find co-founders, turn an idea into a plan, and pitch it to grant providers at Coefficient Giving. Organized by Pivotal, LISA, and the UK AI Forum. 🚀 About the Program — Related to Project Tailwind — a Coefficient Giving initiative for founders launching ambitious AI safety projects addressing problems that are currently not being addressed. — Project Tailwind pre-seed grants range from $200,000 to $2 million. — Involves a minimum of 30 founders, researchers, and operational specialists. 📅 How the Week Works (November 9-13, 2026, LISA, London) — Monday: Introductions to participants and potential co-founders, learning about Tailwind, meetings with grant providers. — Tuesday-Wednesday: Choosing a problem, developing a theory of change, creating a plan and budget for the first 12 months, and building a team; office hours with founders, researchers, and Coefficient Giving. — Thursday: 10-minute pitch to Coefficient Giving grant providers, with written feedback the same day. — Friday: Decisions about next steps. — After the week: Promising teams receive 2-4 weeks of support from LISA and Pivotal to write a full application; funding decisions are made within 2 weeks. ⭐ What Participants Receive — £1,000 stipend — Travel to London and accommodation for the entire week. — Opportunity to meet potential co-founders (a team of 2-4 people, or your own idea – your choice). — Access to experienced founders, researchers, and grant providers. 👤 Who Can Apply — Founders: You have experience creating and leading an organization, program, or product. — Researchers: You have experience in AI safety or a related field, and can lead a major research direction. — Operational Specialists: You are strong in areas essential for a new organization: operations, communications, and field development. — You do not need to have a ready-made idea or co-founder. It is enough to choose directions from Tailwind that interest you, and you can change course during the week. — Evaluated based on: relevant experience, what you have already built, and a clear answer to the question of why you want to create a new organization rather than join an existing one. — Participation is preferably in person for the entire week. 📋 The application takes less than 15 minutes: experience, which group best describes you, and which Tailwind areas are most appealing to you. 🔥 Application Deadline: October 12, 2026 — Review and 20-minute calls: October 12-15 — Decisions: by October 19 🔗 Apply: airtable.com/appvm1dLrzi6D31gu/pagBEovwu0WGwjeOg/form 🔗 More details: joinliftoff.ai 🔗 About Project Tailwind: coefficientgiving.org/tailwind

Hey everyone ❤️ I’ve been working on Opportunities Platform for a long time now, and many of you have been part of this journey for months or even years. As we move towards the end of the year, I want to pause and genuinely understand one thing: What has Opportunities Platform meant to you? If you’ve ever found an opportunity through us, received guidance, attended one of our sessions, got connected to someone, or simply felt supported by this community, I’d really appreciate it if you could take 5–10 minutes to share a short testimony or feedback. There’s no fixed format, and you don’t need to write something long. Write as much or as little as you feel is appropriate. Just be honest about your experience. Please mention: • Name • Country • Age • Current status — High school student / University student / Graduate / Working / Other • Date of writing • Your testimony/feedback If possible, please add your testimony in a new sheet rather than the previous sheet, so we can keep this year's reflections organised separately. Link here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YUWBfpU2gSa90DdK_DBYirMuvESc8JM81gmdP2xb04Y/edit?usp=sharing We haven’t really asked our community for feedback properly, and I think it’s important that we do this now — not just to celebrate what went well, but also to understand what we could have done better, what we should continue, and what we should avoid going forward. You don’t have to write something perfect. Just tell us what your experience has been. It would genuinely mean a lot to me and the entire Opportunities Platform team if as many of you as possible could contribute. Your words will help us understand the impact we’ve had and, more importantly, how we can support you better in the future. Thank you for being part of this journey. ❤️
