🔆 Transcript: Internet was invented by people who were good at programming, and people keep optimizing it for different purposes. So Internet has been growing organically. Internet can achieve many things but has advantages and disadvantages. The email system was designed by graduate students and researchers who know and trust each other. Using email needs trust between the senders and the receivers as the authentication process was not originally built in this system. Email authentication is a technical solution to proving that an email is not forged. In other words, it provides a way to verify that an email comes from who it claims to be from. Email authentication is most often used to block harmful or fraudulent uses of email such as phishing and spam. In practice, we use the term “email authentication” to refer to technical standards that make this verification possible. Initially, the email system didn't consider security because there was no suspicion between them at that time, and there was no authentication process built into this system. 🔆 Main Points: ⚜️ the invention of the Internet ⚜️ optimizing the Internet for different purposes ⚜️ growing organically ⚜️ the email system ⚜️ trust between the senders and the receivers ⚜️ the email authentication process ⚜️ (not being) a forged email ⚜️ blocking harmful and fraudulent uses of emails ⚜️ technical standards ⚜️ (not) considering security 🔆 Sample Answer: The essential feature of this topic was to determine the invention of the Internet. Although optimizing internet for different purposes can perceive the email system as growing organically, trust between the senders and the receivers could associate the email authentication process with a forged email. Consequently, blocking harmful and fraudulent uses of emails may derive technical standards from considering security. Exercise 4: Throughout the 18th century, mathematicians, scientists and philosophers researched, discussed, and published their investigations into how the world worked, while engineers and inventors developed new and successful machines and processes. The latest theories inspired greater invention, and more technology encouraged theoretical scientists to make further discoveries in medicine, biology, mechanics, physics, and chemistry. By 1800, the new machines ....1.... (are / have / were / had) brought revolutionary changes to the workplace, transportation and communications, and eventually to the home. Some of these inventions simply made it easier to produce things on a large scale such as textile machines and foundries, ....2.... (those / which / that / what) produced large quantities of cloth and metal objects quickly and cheaply. But some inventions ....3.... (brought / necessitated / enforced / took) completely new possibilities such as the first batteries, steamboats, and locomotives. It would take decades for some of these inventions to make a big impact on the world. ....4.... (Notwithstanding / As / Whether / Yet) their creation, and the sheer amount of imagination and risk-taking involved, marked the beginning of a modern, global, technologically based economy of the kind that we live in today. #RWFIB #Apeuni_37 @Iran_pte_house
