🙏 Volunteers needed for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday—jump in where you can. You'll be rewarded with food, fresh drinks and excessive praise. Find us at Tool House (black container on Beton playa) for tasks. We are especially in need of a 7.5t driver (C1/license) on-site - it's an easy, fun job and you'll be a strike hero.

| 12 | 🔥 HEAT STROKE — LOOK OUT FOR THESE SIGNS
- Confusion, slurred speech, stumbling
- Hot, dry skin (sweating has stopped — this is serious)
- Fast pulse, shallow breathing
On darker skin tones, flushing won't look red — look for skin turning gray or noticeably darker than usual. When in doubt, focus on behaviour changes, not skin colour. Is someone suddenly confused, quiet, or not making sense? Act.
Additionally: see someone sleeping next to shade? The sun might have wandered while they slept. Make sure they aren't unconscious, remind them to get back to shade!
If someone's in trouble:
Get them to shade
→ cool them with water
→find a Ranger/Carebear (if in doubt, call the on site medical emergency number +491712124844)
→ don't leave them alone.

Gather round, sweaty comrades! Here's the plan for getting everything torn down without melting into the playa:
☀️ Work in bursts! If you're striking Sunday daytime, we recommend the pomodoro method: 40 minutes of glorious collective effort, then 20 minutes of equally glorious collective collapsing in the shade. Repeat/Hydrate/Survive.
⛈️ Storms are sneaky! The sky may look innocent, but rain is forecasted for strike and summer storms like to show up uninvited. Rainproof your valuables and electricals NOW, even if it feels ridiculous. Future you will be grateful.
🎒 Pack a grab-bag, just in case: in the unlikely case the Amt requests us to cool down in the forest/gokart bahn for a couple of hours in the hottest hours and return, have an easy-access bag ready with your documents and personal bits.
🔨This is going to be a HARD strike. If you're able and willing, plan to stick around a little longer and lend an extra pair of hands. Many hands, light work, cold drinks at the end. We've got this. 💪

| 14 | Kiez Burn fam - stay hydrated 💧
It’s getting hot out there. Hydrate like it matters (because it does):
💧Share water on the strip
💧Bring hoses, pools, water buckets to the strip
💧 Wet your scarves, clothes, everything
💧 Keep cups flowing
💧 Use the hydration recipe:
4 cups (1 L) water
1 cup (250 mL) orange juice (100% juice)
2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons (40 g) sugar
¾ teaspoon (4.5 g) baking soda (natron)
½ teaspoon (3 g) salt
... and look out for each other! Pace yourselves — ease off daytime consumption, rest often, and find shade wherever you can.
If you or someone else shows signs of a heatstroke, put them in a pool in the shade. Most important: keep their head cool, and call the medics 🩵

Every kitchen needs one. Rent your fire extinguishers at toolhouse for 36 Euros and read about it in the Wiki!

STAY VIGILANT
Every single participant can help make Kiez Burn Safe*R. If you experience or witness something harmful, you can step in if you feel safe doing so, or find a Ranger to help. If you don’t see a Ranger around you can go to the Ranger HQ to call for help. Last year we had a few incidents involving material damage and offensive behavior, and together we can make sure these don't repeat. If something looks off, trust your gut: ask the person what they're doing, or ask to see their wristband.
