RBI Grade B Phad II Exam is Over Now, Do share your Insights on exams as well as Questions that you remember to @AskBrajesh

Few things for Tomorrow. - Stay fresh as the exam is for whole day and you need to perform in all the sections. - English Descriptive and Answer Writing have been saviour in last 2 exam cycle. - Complete the writing section. Don't spend too much time on any one question, as every question contributes to your final selection. During the tests, many of you attempted only 3 out of 4 questions. Don't repeat the same mistake in the exam. If any question is out of the box, just think about related information you have studied and try putting them by rephrasing. - In mains only a fixed no of students have been selected so don't think as prelims had high cut off it would have similar impact on mains. It may have but mains is different game, here most of things are in your own control, and the way you perform will determine your chances of selection. - Don't take too much guess work Objective, I have seen students when they feel things are getting out of their hand, they start ticking answer randomly, considering something would happen with god's grace, don't do that, you are not out until result say so. Trust your preparation, stay calm, and give your best. Wishing all of you the very best!

Bridging the Gap Between Education and Employability in India Every year, lakhs of students pass out from colleges and universities in India. Most of them start looking for jobs soon after, but a large number struggle to find work. The strange part is that the number of graduates keeps rising while the number of employable graduates stays low. This gap between holding a degree and being ready for a job is one of the biggest challenges facing the Indian economy today. To solve it, we first need to understand why the gap exists in the first place. The main reason is that college education in India is still mostly theoretical. Students spend years learning concepts from textbooks but get very little practical or hands-on training. The syllabus in many institutions is outdated and is set with little input from industry, so what students learn does not match what employers actually need. As a result, a company often has to spend months retraining a fresh graduate before the person becomes useful. A second reason is the poor quality of teaching and infrastructure in many colleges, especially outside the big cities. There is a wide gap between a student studying in a top institution in a metro city and one studying in a small college in a rural or tier-3 town. The second student usually has weaker labs, fewer good teachers, and almost no exposure to companies. This divide means talent is wasted simply because of where a student happens to study. A third reason is the lack of soft skills and digital skills. Many graduates are weak in communication, teamwork, and basic computer or digital knowledge, which employers value highly today. In a world moving towards technology and artificial intelligence, a student who only has bookish knowledge is left behind. There is also a social bias in our country where vocational and skill-based work is looked down upon, so many students avoid practical trades even when jobs are available there. This gap has a serious cost for the country. India has one of the youngest populations in the world, with a median age of around 28 years. This is often called our demographic dividend. But this advantage will be wasted if our young people are educated but not employable. Instead of driving growth, a large unemployed youth population can lead to frustration and social problems. So closing this gap is not just an education issue, it is directly linked to the future of the economy. The government has taken several steps to fix this problem. The Skill India Mission works to train youth in the skills the job market needs, and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana runs skill development centres for unemployed and underemployed youth. The Prime Minister Internship Scheme places students in top companies and gives them a monthly stipend of around 9,000 rupees, so they gain real workplace experience. For traditional workers, the PM Vishwakarma Scheme gives artisans like carpenters and potters proper training, modern tools, and easy credit. Most importantly, the National Education Policy 2020 tries to fix the root cause by adding vocational training and internships into regular schooling and college from an early stage. However, schemes alone cannot solve the problem. Colleges must update their syllabus regularly with the help of industry, and there should be a stronger link between companies and educational institutions through apprenticeships. The quality of skill centres needs proper checks so that training actually meets industry standards. More women must be brought into skilling programmes, since a large part of the workforce is still left out. Along with technical skills, students should also be trained in communication and digital skills.
