a) In an equilibrium reaction , some reactants remain unconverted and this leads to lower yields of desired products.

Ca(HCO₃)₂ can decompose upon heating to form calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) which forms scales and block pipes and equipment. This scale buildup reduces efficiency and causes damage to equipment.
