The Soul Splinter Curse Your soul cracked years ago. You don't remember when. A single splinter broke off and lodged somewhere between your ribs. You think it's why you ache when you're happy. Why you feel too full when you're loved. That splinter's waiting for something. You're afraid it's waiting for you to break properly.

' Daffodil (Narcissus)
Symbolize: Vanity, self-love, renewal
In Greek mythology, Narcissus was a handsome young man known for his extraordinary beauty. He was so proud and disdainful that he scorned those who loved him. One of the most well-known stories about him is told in Ovid’s Metamorphoses. According to the myth, Echo, a mountain nymph, fell deeply in love with Narcissus. But because of a curse by Hera, Echo could only repeat the words of others and could not express her own love. When Narcissus rejected her, she was heartbroken and wasted away until only her voice remained. As a punishment for his arrogance and cruelty, the gods caused Narcissus to fall in love with his own reflection in a pool of water. He became so entranced by his own image that he could not leave it, eventually wasting away and dying. In the place where his body was found, a daffodil (Narcissus flower) grew.
