I remember as a new Catholic having the parish trad priest give thanks to God for Trump's election in a homily stating it gave Catholics breathing room in order to re-engage in the culture war. Nearly 8 years later I think we can say that breathing room is gone.

The Paraclete, Holy Fire, dancing upon the head (neurons firing all around) and causing men to be heard in multiple languages (cymatics). Ancient Cathedrals, who's architecture and art reflects the finger prints of God in the electromagnetic/ cellular level. And you- too stupid, to brutish, too vain and near sighted because you do not go outside and exercise your espiritu.

In 1865, some of the Japanese who lived in Urakami village near Nagasaki visited the new Ōura Church which had been built by the Paris Foreign Missions Society (Société des Missions Etrangères de Paris) barely a month before. A female member of the group spoke to a French priest, Bernard Thaddée Petitjean, and revealed that their families had kept the Kirishitan faith. Those Kirishitan wanted to see the statue of the Virgin Mary with their own eyes, and to confirm that the priest was single and truly came from the Pope in Rome. After this interview, many Kirishitan thronged toward Petitjean. He investigated their underground organizations and discovered that they had kept the rite of baptism and the liturgical years without European priests for nearly 250 years. For the most part, much portrayed is true- and the producers of the show attempt to show sincere Catholic laypeople (peasants) and a few good priests. However, the classic portrayal of corrupt clerics abusing the Faith for temporal power/riches is used. What is left out of the show & book is how the English and Dutch Protestants helped make Christianity (all forms) illegal in Japan. Think of it: the Protestant English and Dutch mind would rather have the Gospel not be preached in a foreign land than let their "fellow Christian brethren" establish the Church..... goes to show the true nature of protestantism is not to unify with Logos but to sow chaos.
