It's absurd how many people will unironically say "well, Grok said," as if LLMs are doing anything other than hallucinating word salad that sounds sort of correct. Sure, some of these algorithms are handy for parsing data sets and whatnot, but it's still insane to just unquestioningly accept its output at face value. Using it as a search engine and trusting its answers is extremely foolish. Using it as an arbiter of truth is irredeemably stupid. Far too many people are doing this, and people relying on accurate answers from chat gpt on any issue that matters is going to start causing catastrophic problems.
