WhisperPair Flaw Enables Bluetooth Eavesdropping👂
Researchers at KU Leuven have discovered a serious flaw in Google’s Fast Pair protocol that allows attackers to take over Bluetooth headphones and speakers. The vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2025-36911 and named WhisperPair, makes it possible to pair with devices without permission, track users, and listen in on conversations❗️
The problem affects hundreds of millions of Fast Pair–enabled accessories. This means both Android and iPhone users can be exposed. Many manufacturers failed to fully implement Fast Pair safeguards, allowing nearby attackers to connect to vulnerable devices from up to 14 meters away without any user interaction🎧
Google and device makers are working on fixes, but updates are not yet available for all affected products. For now, installing firmware updates from manufacturers is the only reliable way to stay protected👀

Cellik Malware Masquerades as Legitimate Android Apps👀
Security researchers at iVerify have identified Cellik, a new Android malware being sold on hacker forums as a malware as a service. Cellik can disguise itself as legitimate apps from the Google Play Store❗️
Attackers can clone almost any Play Store app. These malicious copies look and work exactly like the originals but quietly send sensitive data to attackers🚨
Once installed, Cellik can stream a device’s screen in real time, read notifications, access files, and steal login credentials by displaying fake sign in screens over real apps. It can also use saved browser cookies to access accounts without passwords, potentially bypassing two factor authentication🤖
Even more concerning, Cellik can inject malicious code into apps that are already installed on a device, turning previously trusted software into a threat❗️

LastPass hack still fueling crypto theft years later💸
Experts at TRM Labs have found that data stolen in the 2022 LastPass breach is still being used to crack weak master passwords and steal cryptocurrency👀
The original attack began when hackers breached an employee’s home computer, gaining access to encrypted password vaults containing sensitive data. Although LastPass warned users that weak master passwords could be brute-forced, many never updated their credentials📱
TRM Labs states that hackers have stolen more than $35 million in crypto since the breach. About $28 million was laundered between late 2024 and early 2025, while another $7 million was tied to new thefts in Sep 2025, routed through Cryptomixer, Cryptex, and Audia6🚨
Researchers say the incident shows how one breach can create a long-lasting window for attackers👀

Kimwolf botnet infects 1.8 million Android devices🤖
Security researchers at QiAnXin XLab have uncovered a new DDoS botnet called Kimwolf, which has infected about 1.8 million Android devices worldwide — smart TVs, set-top boxes, and tablets📱
The campaign may be connected to the Aisuru botnet, as Kimwolf received 1.7 billion attack commands in just 3 days in November. One of its control servers even appeared among Cloudflare’s top 100 most active domains.
By early December, researchers took over one of Kimwolf’s command-and-control domains and confirmed infections across Brazil, India, the US, Argentina, South Africa, the Philippines🌍
The malware, built with Android NDK, can launch DDoS attacks, act as a proxy network and control files on infected devices. Most of its activity (about 96%) is tied to proxy use, suggesting attackers are monetizing bandwidth with tools like the Rust Command Client and ByteConnect SDK👀

SoundCloud confirms data breach affecting 28 million accounts🎶
SoundCloud has confirmed a security breach that exposed data from around 28 million user accounts, roughly 20% of its total users❗️
The company said it detected unauthorized activity in one of its internal admin panels and immediately launched an investigation. Access to the compromised systems has been blocked, and SoundCloud says the platform is now secure⚡️
Some users recently experienced error 403 messages when trying to access the site via VPNs — an issue SoundCloud explained was a side effect of its security measures❌
With help from cybersecurity experts, the company has strengthened monitoring, reviewed access controls, and audited connected systems to prevent future incidents👀
