Instagram has rolled out a strict security update that completely changes how account recovery and login works. Old methods like jacking, reset-link login, and creating old-age accounts no longer function.
1. Reset Links No Longer Work
Reset links now show “Something went wrong” unless you use the same old device, same IP, and same cookies. This blocks reset-based logins on old or jacked accounts.
2. Mandatory Video Selfie Verification
If you log in from a new device, change any account info, or trigger any unusual activity, Instagram instantly locks the account and asks for a video selfie. This cannot be bypassed.
