🇹🇬BREAKING: FTAPI Confirms Ransomware Attack by The Gentlemen
German secure file-transfer provider FTAPI has confirmed a ransomware incident after the group The Gentlemen listed it on its leak site.
Attackers breached a single internal server on 14 September 2026 and deployed ransomware. FTAPI isolated the system, brought in external forensics experts, notified customers and partners, fulfilled regulatory duties, and filed a police report.
The company states its platform, customer systems, and the data exchanged by customers were not affected. Operations continued without interruption.
A countdown on the leak site shows roughly five days remaining.

+1🇹🇬BREAKING: Dutch hacker Pepijn van der Stap, also known online as “Umbreon,” has been linked to the ShinyHunters cybercrime ecosystem.
ShinyHunters recently claimed to have breached FBI systems and briefly defaced the FBI’s jobs website,
fbijobs.gov, using its signature Umbreon imagery. The FBI has confirmed it is investigating claims of unauthorized activity, but has not confirmed that the alleged breach or data theft occurred.
Claims that van der Stap was rearrested around September 16, 2026 for assisting ShinyHunters, or that the FBI defacement was deliberately carried out by a rival to frame him, have not been independently confirmed by reliable sources.

He's a 23-year-old convicted Dutch hacker who was on parole and detained again around September 16 on suspicion of aiding ShinyHunters data thefts and extortions.
Days later, ShinyHunters claimed a hack of the FBI's jobs site and left an Umbreon defacement that sources say was likely a rival's attempt to pin it on him.

🇹🇬 BREAKING: New Flash Crypto Scam Circulating
A new crypto scam is reportedly circulating where scammers send “Flash Crypto” along with a TXID that looks like a genuine crypto transaction. The TXID itself cannot show that the crypto is Flash Crypto, making it difficult to identify the transaction as fake.
The tokens may appear when transferred between Trust Wallet accounts but reportedly do not show up in other wallets.
Users are advised to verify the actual receipt of funds before completing any deal.

🇹🇬BREAKING: Chinese Stocks Hit One-Month Low Amid Global Market Pressure
Chinese stocks suffered their biggest one-day decline in a month, with the CSI 300 falling 1.7% and the Shanghai Composite dropping 1.2%. The selloff came as investors remained cautious about the outcome of the Trump–Xi meeting and amid broader global market pressure from rising oil prices and U.S. Treasury yields.

🇹🇬JUST IN: Bengaluru Cyber Fraud Network Busted
Bengaluru Police arrested 3 men after uncovering a network involving 507 mule bank accounts allegedly used to route cyber-fraud proceeds. The probe began after a resident lost ₹93.58 lakh in a fake investment scheme promoted through WhatsApp.
Police found 51+ APK files, including SMS/OTP-forwarding malware that allegedly allowed fraudsters to remotely operate bank accounts. Investigators also identified the use of WhatsApp, Telegram and Binance wallets and possible network links to Kolkata, Hong Kong and California.
Authorities are now tracing the wider network and intermediaries connected to the 507 accounts.
