Turkish forces withdrawal more extensive than expected: According to guerrilla forces in Zap, heavy fighting, esp. on region's eastern front continues. The resistance is unbroken! According to HPG’s Karayilan, Turkish forces withdrew from entire western front, except of Gire FM & Hakkari. The fact that they couldn't hold Gire Cudi, Ş. Pirdogan & Gire Amediye is major setback; these areas are crucial for the capture of Gire Bahar & occupation's connection to Kurojahro. To connect disputed areas, Turkish military is trying to capture Çemço & Sida, but fierce resistance continues (for 5 months now). Guerrillas don't expect any successes for Turkish armed forces, esp. because change int weather will further benefit mobile guerrilla units operating in the region. Finally, the statement points out danger to Rojava as Turkey aims to change agenda & prevent discussions on loss in Zap. A ground offensive in Rojava would certainly fulfill this. 🕊 FREEDOM FOR OCALAN! ✌️ On the 15th of February, 1999, the Leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, Abdullah Öcalan, was handed over to the Republic of Turkey following a clandestine operation backed by an alliance of secret services directed by their corresponding governments. Disgusted by this outrageous violation of international law, several intellectuals and representatives of civil organisations launched an initiative for the release of Abdullah Öcalan. The PKK leader and executives have been under strict isolation for years, rarely allowed to communicate with the outside world. 📌 The last time there was any information with Ocalan was in April 25, 2022 during a phone call with his brother Mehmet Ocalan; 📌 Rezan Sarıca and Nevroz Uysal, two of Öcalan’s lawyers, were able to meet with their clients after 8 years on May 2-22, June 12-18 and August 7, 2019. ✌️ Tens of thousands marched in Paris! The people of Kurdistan and their friends flock to Paris to protest the massacres that took place on January 9, 2013 and December 23, 2022 and to commemorate the martyrs. A rally will be held when the marching column arrives at République Square. At the rally, which is planned to start with a moment of silence, dozens of French elected officials, intellectuals, writers, academics, union representatives, lawyers, representatives of Kurdish institutions, representatives of leftist socialist organizations from Turkey addressed the audiences.

Withdrawal of the Turkish army from parts of Zap! The People's Defense Forces have just announced that the Turkish occupying army has withdrawn from the areas of Girê Cûdî, Şehîd Kendal, Şehîd Şîlan, Şehîd Çekdar, Şehîd Baxtiyar, Şehîd Savuşka and Şehîd Leşker in the Zap Mountains! The retreat comes after a series of large and effective guerrilla actions that began with the Revolutionary Operations of November 25 and 26 at Gire Hakkari, & continues. The news from the mountains is massive as highly strategic points were left behind. The retreat forced by a historical resistance means that the enemy could not establish the separation of Zap & Metina (which would have caused enormous logistical problems for the Gerîla) & thus could not achieve its medium-term objective of Operation "Claw-Lock". The latest developments prove that the modern guerrilla of the 21st century is capable of defeating even one of the most modern & technologically highly equipped armies!

Paris | 24.12.: United in Grief & Anger!Thousands came to Paris yesterday to commemorate the victims of the attack the day before & to demand a full investigation by French authorities: Great are the concerns that after 2013 again no clarification could take place. After provocations by Turkish fascists & attacks by #Paris police, anger over the murders and the cover-up of the 2013 murders was unleashed: the following protests continued until the evening. Next to the central demonstration in Paris, Solidarity with Kurdish people & the freedom movement was shown on the streets of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, UK, Lebanon, Greece, Sweden & more. ❗️Terrorist Attack in Paris:❗️ Gunman murdered 3 people & injured several others in the Kurdish "Ahmed Kaya" Culture Centre in Paris today. According to eyewitnesses, an armed assailant opened fire on the Kurdish Cultural Center before shooting at a restaurant and a hairdresser’s salon owned by the Kurds on the same street. While the attack has resulted in deaths and injuries, the assailant, reportedly 69 years old, has been arrested by the police. Kurdish Organizations call for urgent protest to condemn these brutal attacks on the Kurdish community in Europe. This attack occurred a few days before the 10th anniversary of the massacre of the three Kurdish activists. Activists who were murdered in Paris on January 9, 2013. At the time of the attack, the preparatory committee for the memorial demonstration had just gathered at the association.
