Turkey kills female anti-IS fighters Weeks after Turkey's last large-scale wave of attacks (https://t.me/jugendinfo/2770) on the self-governing territories in northern and eastern Syria, drone attacks continue on an almost daily basis. Two female commanders of the YPJ were murdered on Sunday in a drone attack in Qamişlo on a facility of the Federation of the War Disabled. According to the women's defense units, they were Sorxwîn Rojhilat and Azadî Dêrik. Both had been active in the fight against IS for years. Sorxwîn Rojhilat had come to Syria from Iran as a volunteer to fight against IS and was seriously injured in the fight in Kobanê, almost leaving her completely blind. Turkey also attacked again on Monday, this time a car in the city center of Qamişlo. According to initial information, one person was murdered. It was initially unclear who it was. Attacks on Rojava continue More than a week after the major wave of airstrikes on the democratic self-administration in northern and eastern Syria, the attacks on the region by Turkey are continuing. News agencies from the region have since reported several attacks along the entire border every day. In the enclave of Şehba, south of occupied Afrin, as well as in Minbic and Kobanê, attacks by Turkish drones and ground troops along the border are increasing. The militias allied with Turkey have also stepped up their activities recently. Further west, a drone attack on internal security forces killed a member of the Asayish and injured others. YPG/YPJ: Self Defense in Rojava Founded in 2011 the YXG, the kurdish self-defense forces, aimed to protect kurdish areas and people against the Assad regime and jihadist gangs in the beginning of the Syrian civil war. They quickly evolved into YPG (Yekineyen Parastina Gel) the peoples defense units in 2012 and officially declared the foundation of the womens protection units YPJ (Yekineyen Parastina Jin) in 2013. Rojava's youth movement resists: In response to threat of attacks by the Turkish state and ISIS, young people all over Rojava are educating their peers in topics of self-defense & discussing the strategy of "Revolutionary People's war" as a way to thwart attacks by organizing all parts of society. In the village of Aşme near Kobanê, the Young Women's Community organized a education. The young women present, learned how to use a AK and discussed the motto "protect your home, your village, your country". Members of the Young Women's Union of the city of Aleppo came together in the framework of the revolutionary people's war strategy and received self-defense training. About 20 young women participated in the one-day training. In Minbic Hisên Bekari from the "Revolutionary Youth Movement of North East Syria" spoke about the role of the youth in the society and in organizing it for the war from neighborhood to neighborhood, for example by opening basic defense & first aid training

Afrin: Six years of Occupation & Resistance On January 20, 2018, the Turkish army and Turkish-backed Islamist mercenaries launched a major attack on the Kurdish canton and city of Efrîn. On january 20th 2018 the Turkish state, Turkish backed jihadist mercenaries and the SNA (Syrian National Army) started a large scale attack on the kurdish canton and city of Efrîn. Ground invasion as well as aerial strikes led to the death of more than 500 civilians. The Turkish army and its mercenaries were and to this day are committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against the people of Efrîn. More than 300.000 Kurdish people have been forcefully displaced from their homes. The Turkish occupation force has installed policies of resettlement by moving settlers into the homes of displaced Kurdish families. The occupation of Efrîn in 2018 is part of the fascist turkish states plan to destabilize the autonomous administration of northeast Syria and destroy the revolution of Rojava.

Tomorrow, six years ago #Turkey started a brutal occupation war against #Afrin in North & East Syria. While hundreds of thousands were displaced the remaining population lives today under an exploitative & torturing regime of Turkish controlled islamist mercenary groups & Turkey.
