An engaging session this morning at the continued ID4Africa AGM, on Bridging the Inclusion Gap-Empowering Africa’s forcibly displaced and stateless through inclusive ID systems chaired by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency with 25 distinguished experts from various countries sharing their experiences. Our own Rahel Abraham from National ID Ethiopia shared #Ethiopia’s progress on applying inclusive #DigitalID systems with the launch of issuance of #Fayda for refugees granting them access to various social services through the work with UNHCR Ethiopia and Refugees & Returnees Service - RRS towards addressing the 1 million refugees currently being hosted in the country. This demonstrates the crucial step that needs to be taken towards advancing practical solutions for access to digital #identity for refugees the enabling environment for national identification systems with an impact video that was shown on the results of such adoptions highlighting the work in Ethiopia from refugees testimonies. #FaydaID #ፋይዳመታወቂያ

ብሔራዊ መታወቂያ ፕሮግራም National ID Ethiopia ከኢትዮጵያ የፌደራል ፖሊስ ኮሚሽን ፣ አዲስ አበባ ፖሊስ ኮሚሽን እና ድሬዳዋ ፖሊስ ኮሚሽን ለተውጣጡ አመራሮች እና የክፍል ሀላፊዎች የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ መርሀ-ግብር አከናወነ። መርሀ-ግብሩን የከፈቱት የኢ.ፌ.ድ.ሪ የፍትሕ ሚንስቴር ሚንስትር ዲኤታ ክቡር አቶ በላይሁን ይርጋ እንደተናገሩት የፋይዳ ዲጂታል መታወቂያ በተለያዩ ዘርፎች አገልግሎት አሰጣጥን በማቀላጠፍ ከሚሰጠው ጥቅም ባሻገር በፍትህ ዘርፍ ማንነትን በማጭበርበር የሚፈፀሙ ወንጀሎችን ከመከላከል አንፃር ያለው ጠቀሜታ የጎላ መሆኑን ጠቁመዋል። የብሔራዊ መታወቂያ ፕሮግራም ስራ አስፈፃሚ አቶ ዮዳሔ አርአያስላሴ እንደተናገሩት "ፋይዳ" ዘመናዊ የዲጂታል መታወቂያ ስርዓትን በመገንባት ማንነትን የማረጋገጥ ሂደት ቀልጣፋ እና ደህንነቱ የተረጋገጠ እንዲሆን በማድረግ ሀገሪቱ ባለንበት የዲጂታል ዘመን ጊዜ ቆጣቢ፣ ዘመናዊ እና ማንነትን በዲጂታል መንገድ በማረጋገጥ አገልግሎት ማግኘት የሚያስችል የመታወቂያ ስርዓት ተገንብቶ በተጠናከረ መልኩ ትግበራ ላይ እየዋለ እንደሆነ ገልፀዋል። በተጨማሪም የብሔራዊ መታወቂያ ፕሮግራም ባለሞያዎች ስለፕሮጀክቱ አጠቃላይ የስራ ሂደት፣ የቴክኖሎጂ እንዲሁም የህግ ማዕቀፍ ገለፃ አድርገዋል። የሶስቱም ተቋማት ሀላፊዎች የፋይዳ መታወቂያ ለህግ ማስከበር ዘርፍ ያለውን ከፍተኛ ጠቀሜታ ከግንዛቤ በማስገባት በቀጣይ የፋይዳ መታወቂያን ትግበራ በመደገፍ፣ የሰራዊት አባሎቻቸውን ማስመዝገብ፣ መታወቂያውን በመጠቀም አገልግሎት የመስጠት ስራዎችን እንደሚሰሩ ገልፀዋል። #ፋይዳመታወቂያ #ፋይዳምዝገባ #DigitalID #FaydaID
