🌐 Google Messages starts rolling out Photomoji [Gallery] Most of the new Messages features announced last week have yet to widely launch, but Google is now rolling out Photomoji that can be used as reactions and stickers. Google Messages will subtly indicate that Photomoji is live on your device with a circular badge over the emoji button in the compose field. You can add new ones by long-pressing on an SMS text or RCS chat and scrolling to the end of the reactions bar for “Create.” That button is also available in the emoji picker to make ones without having to first send them. #Google #ITNews | Source | @Tech_maker

🌐 Google Messages marks 1 billion RCS users with Photomoji, Custom Bubble colors, more There are now over 1 billion monthly active users with RCS enabled in Messages, and Google is celebrating by adding a ton of whimsy to the app across emoji (with Photomoji), voice recording, and customization. Google Messages now lets you customize the bubble color and background (including the app bar) on a per-conversation basis. The latter adopts a lighter shade than your bubble, while the other person remains white (or gray). 🌐 Instagram and Facebook cross messaging is coming to an end From mid-December, Instagram and Facebook’s messaging services will no longer be cross-compatible, according to a pair of Meta support pages quietly updated. Once the feature is discontinued, you won’t be able to start new cross-platform chats, and existing conversations between services will go into read-only mode.
