📉 RN Estudio & Dungeon Pin-ups: One Studio, Many Faces
Remember RN Estudio (RNestudio)? The Spanish studio from Alhaurín de la Torre that’s been cranking out highly detailed STL miniatures for DnD, Pathfinder, Blood Bowl, and pin-up fans for years. From the outside it looks like Dungeon Pin-ups, Mythbowl, Myth Explorers and the rest are completely separate brands. In reality it’s both simpler and more tangled than it seems.
Let’s break down how one studio grew into an entire ecosystem of “side projects.”
### 💰 The Main Lines & How They Appear from the Outside
RN Estudio runs on the classic modern 3D-sculpt business model: a core brand + tightly focused product lines aimed at different audiences.
- Dungeon Pin-ups — the most visible and “hottest” series. Female characters in pin-up / sexy style (Pathfinder/DnD classes: Bard, Sorcerer, Paladin, Druid, Rogue, etc.). It has its own dedicated Patreon (patreon.com/dungeonpinups), separate Kickstarters, and MyMiniFactory campaigns. A lot of people assume it’s an independent studio.
- Mythbowl / Fantasy Football — Blood Bowl-style teams and miniatures. Large standalone Kickstarters with full rosters.
- Myth Explorers / Maidens / Champions — more “classic” fantasy sets, adventure creators, tribes, and premium content.
- The main RN Estudio Patreon (patreon.com/rnestudio) — the central hub that collects the rest of the releases, vaults, and bonuses.
From the outside it looks like a collection of independent projects. Inside it’s the same team of sculptors, the same style, and the same people behind the renders and support.
### ❌ Why the Confusion Exists
Classic crowdfunding growth mixed with audience segmentation:
- Separate Patreons and individual Kickstarter pages create the illusion of “different studios.”
- Dungeon Pin-ups is pushed especially hard in pin-up and NSFW communities, so many people discover it first and never connect the dots.
- Licensed printers on Etsy, Instagram, and Discord often just write “Dungeon Pinups by RN Estudio” or drop the studio name entirely — and the trail goes cold.
- The studio regularly launches new “frontiers” and themed campaigns that look like fresh brands.
Result: endless arguments of “Is this a side project? Same studio? Why two Patreons?”
### ⚖️ Current Status
Everything still operates under the RN Estudio umbrella.
Dungeon Pin-ups is not a separate company and not someone else’s project. It’s their most successful and longest-running product line, given its own dedicated channel (Patreon + separate campaigns) purely to better serve the pin-up audience. The other lines follow the same pattern: their own focus and campaigns, but the same sculptors, IP, and production.
Their online presence (YouTube RNestudio, Instagram @rnestudio, MyMiniFactory/users/rnestudio) directly links all these names. When the studio posts a new Dungeon Pin-ups release, they frequently drop the link straight to the dungeonpinups Patreon — and vice versa.
