This update is aimed at improving the compatibility of the app with the latest Google platform requirements. It's essential to note that there are no functional changes associated with this release; it primarily focuses on ensuring seamless operation within the updated Google ecosystem. 🗯 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞: ➖ 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙞𝙙 𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 9.0 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙫𝙚: Customers using Android devices with version 9.0 and above will receive an update notification and can proceed with updating the Mobile Banking App from the Google Play Store. Once updated, they can continue using the application without any additional registration or re-verification process. ➖ 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙞𝙙 𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 8 𝙤𝙧 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙬: Customers using Android devices with version 8 or below should take note that no update will be available for their devices. However, the existing version of the IPPB Mobile Banking App will continue to function for some time as it is. It's essential to highlight that if a customer using Android version 8 or below chooses to uninstall the app, they will no longer be able to access the IPPB Mobile Banking App. ❗️𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 ❗️ 👉 Prior Communication: IPPB has proactively communicated with customers using Android version 8 or below through SMS, informing them about the upcoming technical upgrade. The SMS, sent on January 15, 2024, notified these customers that their Mobile Banking App would become inoperative from January 31, 2024, and encouraged them to upgrade their Android version accordingly. 👉 No Impact on iOS Users: For customers using iOS devices, specifically those with version 12 or below, IPPB has similarly communicated the upcoming changes through SMS. However, it's important to clarify that this upgrade pertains only to the Android version of the IPPB Mobile Banking App. As of now, all iOS users will not be impacted by the upgrade, and the IPPB Mobile Banking App will continue to function normally for them.
