In my current state it's only a 3 week course (so I assume it's similar there), it's significantly cheaper. It's mostly dump truck work, and I'm not sure if I want to drive big rigs across Alaska. Cdls don't transfer from state to state so if I go through the trouble of getting a class A I would be relegated to working in AK. I would feel better about ditching a class b, the work, time, and money over a class A.
