| 2 | ELIGIBILITY:
A: SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:
Applicants must be in 2nd year and above in their courses of study to be qualified for undergraduate Scholarship Awards. And must possess WASSCE/NECO. with a minimum of five Credits including Engisn Language and Mathematics at a sitting, and minimum CGPA of 4.0 for University or equivalent of a Second Class (Upper Division), 3.50 for Polytechnics and 3.50 for NCE in their current institutions of study.
Applicants for Master's Degree and Ph.D Scholarship Award must possess a minimum of 2nd Class (Upper Division) at Undergraduate level. A grade of distinction in Master's Degree is an additional prerequisite for Ph.D Scholarship Award.
For Ph.D Scholarship, any candidate with a first degree certificate lesser than second class (Upper Division) and a grade of distinction in master's degree is not eligible. A letter of recommendation from the H.O.D. is required.
Physically Challenged Students in Tertiary Institutions (University, Polytechnic, College of Education, School of Nursing/Midwifery, College of Health Tech and Post Graduates) are qualified for the Handicapped Scholarship Award.
Students on Part-Time and Sandwich Courses are NOT qualified for the Scholarship Awards.
B: BURSARY AWARD:
All undergraduates, Polytechnics, College of Education, Schools of Nursing/Midwifery, Colleges of Health Technology Students are eligible.

This is to request all applicants (UTME and DE) who applied through JAMB for admissions into Federal University Lokoja (FUL) for the 2024/2025 Academic Session and either selected FUL as their 1st Choice or are willing to change their institution to make FUL their first choice, that the Post-UTME Screening Portal will open from Monday, September 2 and close on Sunday, October 2, 2024.

1.0 ELIGIBILITY FOR SCREENING

| 11 |  ASUU to issue FG 21-day ultimatum
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has resolved to give the Federal Government a 21-day ultimatum in line with labour law.
The decision to issue the federal government the ultimatum was taken at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held at the University of Ibadan (UI) from Saturday 17th to Sunday 18th, August 2024.
A source told Daily Sun that the crucial NEC meeting also directed ASUU branches to conduct a referendum on whether to embark on a strike or not, a definite strike or a staggered strike.
ASUU’s demands include renegotiation of FG/ASUU 2009 agreement, payment of withheld salaries, use of UTAS for salary payment, promotion arrears, stopping proliferation of universities, revitalisation for public universities, outstanding Earned Academic Allowance, victimization of union leaders and non-payment of salaries to members in some state universities. | 56 |

This is inform all candidates who applied for admission into UNIMAID for 2024/2025 academic session that the Post UTME/DE Screening Exercise will commence on Monday 19th August, 2024 and will end midnight of Sunday 20th September, 2024.
ELIGIBILITY
1.Only UTME and DE candidates who selected University of Maiduguri as first choice during 2024 JAMB are eligible for the screening exercise.
UTME candidates must have minimum score of 140 except those courses for which higher cut-off marks have been indicated on the University Website.
Candidate must meet the minimum UTME scores for their chosen courses and have the right UTME subject combinations as prescribed in the 2024 JAMB Brochure.

| 20 |  LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES COMMENCEMENT OF TRANSFER INTO PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS
The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has announced the commencement of transfer opportunities into Junior and Senior Secondary schools for students with genuine requests for transfer from public and private schools to public secondary schools in Lagos State.
The notice of the transfer exercise issued by the Permanent Secretary Mr. Abayomi Abolaji, said it is designed to provide opportunities for students whose parents desire to change their schools due to relocation and economic reasons.
The notice also reiterated that transfer could only be requested for students going to JSS II and SS II classes in public secondary Schools, stressing that the exercise, which commenced on Thursday, 8th August, will end on Friday, 30th August, 2024.
