I’ve been reflecting on the passing of Grand Duchess (NoTatsClassy)... There are people I’ve met online whom I consider kindred spirit, some I’ve interacted with for years, on each other’s posts and via DM, yet I’ve never known their names or faces. Grand Duchess was one such person. She was always cordial, authentic, passionate, very articulate, and represented the women of the dissident right well. She was a mother and a friend, had tens of thousands of followers yet always took time for you. She was real, because all of us are real behind our anonymity. She and I had lost touch after after a Twitter purge, but had just reconnected, and I wish I had taken more time to be a better friend, to be more real than just a mutual anonymous account. I’m really going to miss her. I look forward to the time when we can all openly and unapologetically know each other, to connect on a deeper level, and to truly be friends and kin.
