⚖️ Spain exempts self-custody wallets from crypto tax reporting
Spain's tax authorities have confirmed that cryptocurrency held in self-custody wallets — where the owner controls the private keys — does not need to be reported under Form 721, the country's disclosure form for foreign-held digital assets. The exemption hinges on one condition: no third party holds the assets on your behalf.
The rule draws a clean line between personal custody and exchange or custodial holdings abroad, which remain reportable. Simple in principle, potentially significant in practice — Spain just gave self-custody a regulatory edge.

UK Banking Giants Complete First Tokenized Deposit Transfers
Lloyds, NatWest, Barclays, and HSBC have completed what UK Finance calls the world's first interbank transactions using blockchain-based tokenized deposits. The real-world tests covered mortgage payments and person-to-person transfers — core, unglamorous banking plumbing, not crypto speculation.
UK Finance says the milestone could pave the way for faster bank payments, new forms of digital money, and tokenized bonds. Institutional-grade blockchain adoption, quietly moving forward while the market obsesses over ETF flows.

Circle Launches Arc Blockchain, CEO Calls It Bigger Than USDC
Circle has unveiled Arc, its own blockchain purpose-built for payments, tokenized assets, and institutional finance. CEO Jeremy Allaire isn't being shy about the stakes — he's calling Arc "more consequential" than USDC itself, the stablecoin that put Circle on the map.
The launch lands as banks and payment giants are piling into the stablecoin market, making Circle's move to own the underlying infrastructure layer look less like ambition and more like necessity.

₿ Bitcoin Rallies Despite 62% Fed Hike Odds
Inflation held steady at 3.4% annually while core cooled year-over-year — but a hot monthly core print kept Fed rate hike odds sitting at 62%, hardly a dovish signal. Crypto didn't care.
Bitcoin and the broader market rallied anyway, apparently deciding that "not worse than expected" is close enough to good news.
Perhaps the market has simply learned to dance between the raindrops on macro data days.

📌 Voting Is Open: Lemon Jet ($LJT) Heads to Kommunitas IKO on September 9 ⚡️
Kommunitas has opened voting for Lemon Jet. The project is a fully on-chain prediction game on Base, using Chainlink VRF for randomness, with claimed winning multipliers of up to 50,000x.
What Lemon Jet actually is❓
Lemon Jet is not a typical “connect and hope” casino skin. It is a non-custodial, on-chain prediction game:
- You connect a wallet on Base
- You choose an LJT multiplier
- You sign the transaction yourself
- The result is resolved by Chainlink VRF and can be verified on-chain
No signup. No KYC. Funds stay in the player’s wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, etc.). Settlement happens in a smart contract, not in a platform balance.
The theme is a lemon hero sent on a space expedition. Under the hood, the product is simpler: pick a multiplier, let verifiable randomness decide the outcome.
$LJT is used to play. Holders can also stake in an on-chain vault. Yield is designed to come from the house edge flowing back to stakers — which also means it can go negative in a bad week. That part is unusually honest for this category.
There is also a single-sided LJT liquidity pool meant to connect players with liquidity providers, so volume in the game can feed yield for LPs.
📊 IKO Snapshot
Aggregator listings around the Kommunitas sale currently point to a public round targeting about $120,000, with a listed price around $0.012, 10,000,000 LJT for sale, and vesting commonly described as 50% at TGE / 50% the following month, plus a 24-hour refund window. Treat those figures as launchpad/listing data and confirm on the official Kommunitas page before participating.

➕ Vote / prepare for the Secure IKO on Kommunitas
🗓 IKO opens 9 September 2026, 09:00 UTC
On-chain games live or die on one thing: whether the result is actually verifiable. Lemon Jet is putting that claim on Base and Chainlink. Worth a look before the sale window opens.

📊 Bitcoin ETFs Haul $900M+ as ETH Funds Keep Streak Alive
US spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in over $900 million in a single day, while Ethereum ETFs quietly extended a run of consecutive inflows unbroken since August 11 — not a bad stretch for a product that spent much of its early life bleeding cash.
No single catalyst is named, but the numbers speak clearly enough: institutional appetite for regulated crypto exposure isn't cooling. Whether that momentum holds is another question entirely.

Bitcoin's Biggest Weekly Candle Ever — Strategy Back in Black
Bitcoin surged to $78k, closing what is reportedly its largest weekly candle in history by notional value. The rally was broad: 10 leading altcoins posted gains of 50% or more in the rebound.
Strategy, Michael Saylor's BTC-heavy firm, returned to profitability on its bitcoin position after the move — a notable reversal for a company that had been sitting underwater. Quite the week to be a hodler.

Bitcoin Miners Spent $5.1B on AI, Earned $341M Back
Nine publicly-listed Bitcoin mining companies poured $5.11 billion into capital infrastructure in H1 2026, chasing AI and high-performance computing revenue — but pulled in just $341.2 million from those segments over the same period, a roughly 15-to-1 spend-to-earn ratio, per BlocksBridge Consulting data.
The miners are clearly betting this gap closes fast. Whether the AI buildout pays off or just turns Bitcoin infrastructure firms into very expensive data center hopefuls remains the defining question of the sector right now.

Goldman Sachs Puts $2.25B Into Bitcoin Yield ETF
Goldman Sachs has taken a $2.25 billion position in BTCI, a Bitcoin yield ETF, reportedly outpacing BlackRock's exposure by 19x. The fund posts a 26.73% distribution rate and a 1.62% SEC yield — numbers that sound attractive until you clock the negative 41.66% one-year NAV return. Yield, it turns out, is easier to advertise than to deliver.
Wall Street's biggest name chasing Bitcoin income products is a signal worth noting — even if the product's own track record gives pause.

On-chain detective uncovers 28,555 BTC potentially linked to a historic crypto fraud
Blockchain investigator Specter has identified 28,555 BTC (≈$1.8B) that may be connected to one of the largest alleged cryptocurrency fraud cases ever.
The investigation began after a dormant wallet moved 1,020 BTC following 8 years of inactivity. Tracing the funds led to addresses associated with Zhimin Qian, whose case previously resulted in the UK seizing 61,000 BTC.
Interestingly, the newly identified wallets have remained almost completely inactive since June 2021.
It's still unclear whether these coins are controlled by the original owners, another custodian, or are already under law enforcement surveillance. For now, the massive stash remains one of the biggest dormant Bitcoin mysteries on-chain.

Michael Saylor has sparked fresh speculation after hinting that Strategy’s famous Bitcoin tracker may not get any new orange dots this time
Since the orange dots traditionally represent BTC purchases, many investors are wondering whether the company could sell more Bitcoin after its recent portfolio changes.
Despite the uncertainty, the market remains resilient. Bitcoin has climbed nearly 2% over the past 24 hours and is trading around $65.4K, suggesting traders aren't overly concerned about Strategy’s next move. For now, all eyes are on Saylor’s next announcement.

Is the Market Waiting for a Dip That May Never Come?
While many traders are still expecting one final capitulation, Bitcoin has climbed back above $66K for the first time since mid-June. 👀
The main reason so many remain bearish is simple: previous cycles saw deeper drawdowns. But Bitcoin's corrections have been shrinking with each cycle, making blind comparisons to past markets increasingly unreliable.
🐋 Meanwhile, whales continue placing buy orders between $60K and $48K. That doesn't necessarily mean they're expecting a crash—it may simply reflect a strategy of accumulating on weakness while already holding significant positions.
A new low is still possible, but it would likely require a major catalyst such as a sharp equity sell-off, a severe geopolitical shock, or another unexpected black swan.
For long-term investors, the key takeaway is simple: market bottoms are built through accumulation, not perfect timing.

Bitcoin's CVDD on-chain indicator currently sits at around $48,500
Historically, the 2018 and 2022 cycle bottoms formed almost exactly at the CVDD level, making it one of the most respected long-term valuation metrics.
If history repeats, Bitcoin could establish its cycle low slightly below the psychological $50K mark.
Of course, no indicator is perfect, and macro conditions can always override historical patterns. Still, CVDD remains one of the key on-chain models investors are watching for signs of a long-term bottom.

How much would Bitcoin need to be worth to match the real purchasing power of $1 million from different eras?
The equivalent of $1 million in 2023 purchasing power would require Bitcoin to reach roughly $1.5 million per BTC (around 2036), while matching the purchasing power of $1 million in 1983 would require a price of approximately $6 million per BTC (around 2043).
In other words, simply becoming a "Bitcoin millionaire" will gradually mean less as inflation erodes the value of money. To preserve the purchasing power of a historical $1 million, Bitcoin would ultimately need to trade well above the $1 million mark.

The AI investment narrative keeps getting stronger
According to Nomura, global capital expenditures on memory for AI data centers could reach $1.4 trillion by 2030.
That's one reason why speculative capital has been flowing into AI instead of crypto. The sector isn't just fueled by hype—it also has enormous infrastructure spending backing its long-term growth story.
It's getting harder and harder not to be bullish on AI... even if you're a crypto investor.

Donald Trump has set a new record for the most securities trades made by a sitting U.S. president, with 22,136 trades in 2025 and another 6,100 trades in the first half of 2026
Trump has also become one of the biggest winners of the crypto boom. His estimated $1.4B in crypto-related earnings during 2025 surpassed the annual profits of several major crypto companies, including Coinbase ($1.26B) and CleanSpark ($365M).
His largest reported stock holdings include Apple, Nvidia, Alphabet, Broadcom, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Tesla.
Looks like "Trader Donnie" has been outperforming more than just the market.

Binance has warned its European users that it will stop providing crypto services in the EU after failing to secure a MiCA license before the deadline
On June 24, the exchange withdrew its license application in Greece and announced plans to apply in another EU country. However, with MiCA rules fully taking effect on July 1, time has run out.
In emails sent to users, Binance's European entity stated that it can no longer accept new clients and will cease providing crypto-asset services from July 1, 2026.
Users in Poland, Italy, Spain, and France have already received instructions on how to withdraw their funds.
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao criticized the decision, saying it's "sad to see the European Union deprive its users of access to the best liquidity in the world."
For now, this looks like a major setback for Binance in Europe and another reminder that regulation is becoming one of the biggest challenges for global crypto exchanges.

Asian markets erased nearly $800 billion in value at the open as investors dumped tech stocks they had been aggressively buying just a day earlier.
The sell-off hit high-profile names hard. SpaceX fell as much as 16%, closing at $154.6. If the stock drops another $20, Elon Musk could temporarily lose his trillionaire status.
Meanwhile, U.S. markets are still asleep, but futures on major indices are already pointing lower, setting up Wall Street for a potential second consecutive day of declines.
For crypto, this is a risk worth watching. A deeper sell-off in equities could trigger another wave of risk-off sentiment across markets, putting additional pressure on Bitcoin and other digital assets.
If the dump continues, BTC could revisit levels below $60K.
