80 years ago today my legend Gramps, Cpl EF Roberts of the North Shore New Brunswick Regiment was the second man to land on Juno Beach. He along with thousands of other brave souls stormed the beaches of Normandy. A generation we’ll never see again in this lifetime. I stood in the very field on the German border in Apr 2011 on the place my gramps was blown up. He said then the Nazis have never died, he said always stand toe to toe with tyranny. Words I personally spoke in front of thousands of people in York on 4th Dec 2021 as once again we the people have been subjected to tyranny. I feel blessed to have the greatest mentor anyone could ever asked for, and blessed I could put my feet in the sand on the very beach he landed with his brothers in arms. After a very traumatic birth she started asking questions. Her grandmother explained to her that was she had experienced was ‘common’ NOT ‘normal’. This gave Nickita a thirst for birth knowledge and so her journey began. She briefly studied midwifery but quickly decided that was not for her. Since then she has learned her skills through more unconventional methods. Although she trained to be a doula, she has also gained knowledge from granny midwives and ancient traditional practice. Nickita is a mother to two daughters, an author, birth activist, teacher, traditional birth attendant and singer / songwriter and is here today to show us in detail the beauty of natural and holistic birthing compared to mainstream birthing in NHS settings and similar hospital environments around the western world. Big shout out to all those who stepped forward in their journey and came to our event in Northampton last night, and to our community member Emma who helped organise it in her home town 🙏 We had a phenomenal sound bath session from @heartofvenusuk, followed by some body alignment, and my powerful breathwork and astral healing. Everyone has a completely different experience and receive what they need at that time which is magical. I love how many guys are coming on their own as well which is a big shift. Guys hold so much pent up emotion inside most their lives. From childhood, not feeling loved by their parents, ‘boys don’t cry’ etc. So it’s great to see an increase in males attending as well.
