Do not confine yourself to what has been working for centuries That's being absolutely foolish You should not blindly believe in something that has been believed to be right for years At the same time, it's also foolish to do the opposite of what has been done for years. You can find a heck lot of people doing that nowadays What you can and should do, is be open to working in a way that hasn't been done for years. And at the same time, revert back to the old methods when the newer ones work. You shouldn't be attached to either. Rather do what's advantageous for you, without intentionally causing harm to everyone around.

Do not confine yourself to what has been working for centuries That's being absolutely foolish You should not blindly believe in something that has been believed to be right for years At the same time, it's also foolish to do the opposite of what has been done for years. It's what a lot of liberals do.

In yesterday's thread, I mentioned something important: "don't even think about proving anything to anyone" This is in reference to when people judge you Never promise yourself to prove someone something because they thought you aren't good enough The promise is a result of your anger that will go away soon. With the anger, the motivation will go away. Stop relying on such motivations that last for a very short period of time Before you make such stupid promises, calm yourself down, understand the situation and then take decision And focus on having a purpose that helps you stay consistent, instead of small spikes of motivation

The best way to change yourself is through self realizations Observe how your actions, thoughts, and emotions are affecting you Be brutally honest with yourself Once you know what to change, nothing that other's say should influence you For instance: If you know your lack of emotional control is ruining you, bring it under control even if everyone says it's normal to not have control over your emotions Stop blindly listening to what other say. They are spreading narratives The truth is found in self realizations and experiences, not in narratives

You should have strong self created rules for yourself As time passes by, the need for these rules will grow Everyone will be trying to influence you They'll try to make you like them They'll make you feel bad for being yourself and having rules This is going to happen, whether you like it or not If you don't set clear rules and a strong image, they'll try to change you You have to make it clear that you don't break rules And you have to constantly remember why you have them

Repost from Masculine Tribe
You have been robbed of some of your capabilities. The mainstream has successfully brainwashed you into believing that your work capacity depends on how motivated you are. Which is certainly not the truth. Discipline > Motivation It has made you believe you should be friends with your partner first only then you can have a good long lasting relationship. This too is false. You just need a polarised relationship with good communication that's it. They keep telling you to live the life you want. But they never tell you to stick to your values and beliefs even if it is hard. Resist the brainwashing happening around you. Don't let them get in your head.

There are multiple ways to build mindset 2. I shared one such way in this post: https://t.me/basedzone/382

If you want to find joy in your work, realize that you don't "have" to anything. You get to everything. But if you want to get your work done faster, make yourself believe that you have to do it. Make yourself believe that you can't live if you don't do xyz. Even if you're merely doing it for luxury, you should have a burning desire to get it. It can be difficult to use both these mindsets together. But if you manage to do so, you'll have a killer combination of discipline and happiness. To integrate those 2 mindsets, you have to put in the practice, and more importantly, you have to think consciously. You can't blindly follow rules anymore. You have to understand how important those 2 mindsets and find how you can use them, without getting use by them. Keep blindly following the rules and mindset, and of course you'll get trapped. You have to learn to use these mindsets and rules to your benefit, instead of using them as excuses. You shouldn't use the mindset 2 to justify being unhappy. Nor should you use mindset 1 to justify being a lazy ass

Be very careful while you consume content that's pleasurable to the mind It can corrupt your mind While you're enjoying the content and getting mesmerized by it, information is being sent in your mind Everything you read is getting stored inside you head in the exact way the writer wants it. You'll never even notice it because the beautiful words have taken your attention This is how your mind gets programmed. By grabbing your attention while they silently feed information The only escape is to become aware and act consciously. Stop lurking out mindlessly.

23. Stop caring about what people think. People are stupid. Let them think what they want to. 24. Stop acting dull. Speak, act, and walk firmly. Never let dulness kill you. 25. You should know what you’ll be doing upon waking up. Do not wake up and decide what to do. Have a plan ready before you go to sleep. Live your life consciously, with complete awareness. 26. Become strategic. Have a plan for everything and be prepared to change the plan as and when needed. 27. Finally, never overlook money. You can’t improve yourself if you’re always worried about paying the bills. Alright, that will be all. I have created posts on many of these topics. And in the future, you can expect more posts that go into the details. For now, turn these points into a checklist and always keep them in mind. STAY BASED

Basics of Self-Improvement Over the past 5 months, I have helped you understand reality, build discipline & habits, stay consistent, control your emotions, and much more. And I’ll continue providing you with more knowledge and solutions from my experience. But in all this, we often forget the basics and divert from our path. We think the basics are not so important, until 1 day, you end up where you started. So, today, we’ll go over all the basics. Save this somewhere, or print it if you can. If I miss out on something important, mention it in the comment section for others. Before we begin, I want you to take this seriously. Without the basics in place, you can’t change your life. With that being said, let’s start with the most common advice: 1. Hit the gym. There’s absolutely no better way to build self-confidence. And without self-confidence, you can’t use any self-improvement technique. You’ll quit. 2. Prioritize sleep, but don’t become a lazy asshole. Sleep when your mind and body ask for it. Wake up when your body wakes you up. If your body doesn’t wake you up, jump out of your bed. Try to sleep and wake up at roughly the same time. For a better sleep, avoiding eating late at night and sleep in complete darkness. Also, avoid doing anything before sleep that can increase your thoughts. Ideally, you don’t want your mind to keep working when you’re sleeping. 3. Value your time. Learn to say no to anything that wastes your time. Avoid anything purely entertainment. Do not get distracted. 4. Ideally, you should always do something that boosts your growth. Even when you have nothing to do, go for a walk, exercise or listen to a podcast. And at all costs, avoid anything that’s of absolutely no use to you. 4. Choose your environment wisely. This includes people and things around you. Stop being with people wasting their lives and living in misery. Avoid working in an environment that constantly steals your focus. 5. Always be focused in the present moment. You shouldn’t be thinking about anything else but the work you’re doing right now. 6. Stop living in your imaginations. You’ll only end with disappointment. Avoid anything that further spikes your imaginations, like movies. 7. Don’t be a man of beliefs. You shouldn’t be trusting anyone but your experiences. Question everything. 8. Never break your basic rules of life. It’s okay to break the rules created by others, but you should strictly follow the rules you create for yourself. 9. Make your actions quick. The more time you take to act, the harder it will get to act. You’ll get stuck with your thoughts. But don’t be so quick with your decisions. Avoid making impulsive decisions. 10. Learn to ignore your mind. It often magnifies problems and traps you with its thoughts. 11. Always be aware of how your body reacts to different things and activities. Whenever it says something is wrong for it, stop. 12. For growth, constantly challenge yourself. Progress through your skills. Put yourself in situations that are at least slightly uncomfortable. Don’t live a comfortable, monotonous life. 13. Never justify your bad actions. Take complete responsibility. 14. Maintain a journal to dump your thoughts when necessary. But don’t overdo it. Spend too much time with your thoughts, and they’ll start controlling you. 15. Walk away from anything that tries to attain control over you. 16. Be skeptical about everything that the masses believe in 17. Expand your thought process by understanding different point of views 18. Regularly reflect upon your actions. Find out areas where you can improve at and avoid making the same mistake multiple times. 19. Do not get worried about anything that’s not under your control. You’re simply wasting your time. Be focused on what you can control. 20. Have a strong enough purpose to get yourself out of bed 21. Learn to be happy all by yourself. You shouldn’t need pleasure or people to be happy in life. 22. Do not give anyone the right to make you angry. Stay calm in every situation.

Many new member have joined. Welcome to the Based Zone. Do read the pinned message and posts that you find helpful. As mentioned above, I'll be posting a special post soon. And I have got an announcement coming up regarding something I have creating for you all. STAY BASED

I have a special post planned for you all Stay tuned

PS: I won't be doing such posts often because they require a lot of time (to avoid as many mis-interpretations as possible). But I found the knowledge given in this video to be necessary for you to understand.

Alright, that would be all If you're someone who understands Hindi, I highly suggest you to watch his video His explanation will always be greater than any interpretation or translation STAY BASED

When you do something wrong, you always have guilt. You tell yourself you shouldn’t have done it. But you always kill the guilt. You convince yourself that it’s okay. With time, the guilt silences itself and vanishes. Guilt exists to make you stop. But it gives up when your mind constantly negates responsibility. And Finally D: Denies Reality Mind wants to stay away from the “harsh reality” This is the reason superhero movies earn a lot these days. All the characters are fictitious. But the mind hates the reality. It loves to live in imagination. You can often find people staring at their TVs to an extent where they cannot hear anything being said by others. They are constantly watching the TV. Constantly listening to news of Ukraine and Russia. The same ways, we watch our mind. Constantly, we’re stuck in our thoughts. And just like the repeat telecast of news, we keep listening to our same thoughts and make ourselves miserable. A minor incident gets magnified in our head and we keep thinking of ourselves. We reject the reality and live in our magnified imagination. Alright, now we understand the problem. Time to find a diagnosis. But the diagnosis isn’t easy. You can make it go silent by slapping it, but it’s like a madman. It won’t get affected. You can try tying it up, but it’s powerful as well. It will break free. You can try tying it up again, but it’s also stubborn. It will break free infinite times. So, how to control it? Here’s how: 1. Gain spiritual knowledge 2. Maintain good association. Your mind is a result of all the knowledge it has consumed. Stay with the right people to gain the right knowledge. 3. Ignore your mind sometimes. Avoid giving it too much attention, the way you would avoid a kid crying just for attention. 4. Chanting the name of the lord. The vibration of sounds directly affects your mind. The name of the Lord will calm your mind.

The following is a translation (not literal translation) of the video I sent above. Everything written below is prone to my interpretation of his words. I have skipped parts I found to be not important or simply repetitive. But in no way do I support or oppose anything mentioned below. This post provides knowledge to those who can’t understand Hindi. With that being said, let’s begin: The entity we’ll be talking about is mind. Everything including happiness and destress is a game played by your mind. Making it important to control it. The ones who can’t control it will always live in misery. But before we learn how to control the mind, we’ll have to know the game it plays with us. We’ll have to understand the mind. To understand these games, we’ll use the word MIND as an acronym. Starting with M: Magnify the problem. Whenever we look at a problem or situation with the lense of our mind, it naturally gets magnified. For instance, often a small thing said by someone stays in our mind for a long time and constantly hurts us. The mind gets trapped with that minor problem and keeps repeating it to itself. The mind gives a magnified meaning to a minor problem. For another instance, the mind often complains about politics at home, work, college, etc. While the politics exists in your mind. Sometimes when you don’t feel heard, your mind assumes that it’s all politics, and a game is being played against you. But often, it’s all in your head. The mind simply sees what it wants too. In the video, Amogh Lila Prabhu continues by giving an example of a King, his minister and a Brahmin. While going through his kingdom, the King came across a poor Brahmin who was extremely happy in life. Shocked to see a poor man happy, the King asked his minister for an explanation. To which the minister replied: “He isn’t a part of the 99 club” The minister further explains the 99 club by leaving 99 gold coins at the doorstep of the Brahmin. When the Brahmin found out the coins, and counted them, he became worried. Worried of the fact that whoever left the coins, forget to give 1 more coin. He believed he would be so happy if he just got 1 more coin. To get 1 extra coin, the Brahmin went to a landlord and asked, “For how much work will you give me 1 coin?” The landlord said, “Move these wheat sacks from point A to point B for a month, and I’ll give you a gold coin” The Brahmin worked rigorously for 6 hours every day and finally got his 1 coin. He went home and started counting his coins. To his surprise, he only found 98 coins. He called for his wife and got to know she spent 2 coins. He went back to Landlord and worked 12 hours this time. Looking at this, the minister said to the King, “Now he is a part of the 99 club. He’ll leave his entire life expecting something more than being grateful for what he has” This is the problem with your mind. It magnifies all minor problems and never focuses on the positives. The mind finds reasons to be miserable. It will always remain dis-satisfied. Moving on to I: Imagines Pleasures In many schools, you can find that the average marks or grades have increased. Why? Because the kids can’t bear getting lower marks. They’re constantly living in their imagination. They believe they’ll be happy only when they score well. But in life, duty is more important than pleasure. Those who’re stuck with pleasure can never do their duties. They want pleasure in everything: at college, work, marriage and even divorce. They do it all for pleasure. You’ll know you have an exam tomorrow, but you’ll be busy watching a new movie on Netflix. Your mind has become addicted to pleasure, resulting in regret. This has become way worse since the launch of IG reels, YouTube shorts, etc. A server mentions, average screen time has increased 2.5x.. You think you’ll watch a reel for 30 seconds, and you get stuck for hours watching content. Moving on, N: Negate Responsibility Your mind hates to take responsibility. All it wants is pleasure.

Will be posting in 10 minutes

Very important video. I'll translate in English and post tomorrow for others
