Sunday's are for long family walks
Sunday's are for long family walks

Merry Christmas Based People If you celebrate Christmas, have a great fucking day. If you don't celebrate Christmas, still have a great fucking day, cause why not. I have decided to delay the newsletter by a day or 2. I want everyone to be able to read it, since it's an important one - something that won't be possible today.

Finished writing. The longest and most insightful letter I have ever written. Might just voice record it as well.

Get your parents something this Christmas. Got mine watches a few days back. There's no better feeling that gifting your parents. If you can't buy something, thank them for everything they have done for you.

Special email coming out tomorrow: 9 Lessons I Learned In 2022 (not your usual bs) You can sign up and read the previous letters here: https://basedlibrary.com/letters/

Want to create an aversion to instant gratification? Do the exact opposite of what attracts you to it. You're attracted to it for 2 main reason: - Anticipation of reward - Lack of friction To create an aversion, create an anticipation of pain. Always remember how you felt after the dopamine went to it's normal levels - that low you feel - that terrible feeling. And make it difficult for you to be attracted to it - create friction. For instance if you're addicted to sugary food... find the time you normally crave it. Eat something an hour before. In most cases, you won't have the craving. For another instance, if you're addicted to watching porn at a certain time, push yourself to get out of your room a few minutes before, and walk. You can also try website blockers if you want, but that won't kill your urge... what I mentioned (often) will.

From a recent consulting call ☝️

I talked with Based about an issue I am struggling with. He listened with interest and had a few solid suggestions for a potential solution. More than that, he offered to be there in the future in case I needed to seek more answers or just to discuss any developments around any issues. I think he has a lot to offer to the community now and in the future.

Never take it to heart when people laugh at your back. Of course you don't want to associate with people who insult you all the time. But it's human to add humor in a conversation by including a 3rd person. And you ain't a flawless mfer who doesn't make mistakes worth laughing at. Also, humor isn't always insulting. If they laugh at you, doesn't mean they can't respect you for your good attributes. I am not saying it's a great habit to laugh at others. But cmon, don't take everything so seriously. You don't want to be the guy who's always serious and misses out on life. Relax. Laugh back. Enjoy.

🚨 Announcement 🚨 I am starting consultancy calls for those who can't afford or aren't ready for the 30 day breakthrough coaching program. The consultancy call will include everything inside the coaching program except for accountability and a 6 stage challenge to turn guidance into action. Together, we'll understand why you fail or struggle to progress in life and create a personalized solution to fix your problem. The length of the call can be as long as needed. But, I'll only take 5 calls per month as they require a ton of my mental energy. So be quick. Cost of coaching program = $400-500 Cost of consulting call = $95 If you want to know what others have to say about working with me, click here - https://coaching.basedlibrary.com/ To book your spot or ask any questions, comment under this post or DM me @based_realist

I have said this often and it's worth repeating: Fix the process to success, don't repeat the process to success. On similar lines, I came a cross a quote: "As to methods, there may be a million and then some, but principles are few" It's absolutely worthless to run after different methods. You'll never find something that will work - because there isn't something that works for everyone. Your job is to find a base - a principle. My principle is to make the process as smooth as possible. And the method I use is to fix the process at points of failure. Every time I fail, I think. I understand what went wrong and I fix it. No other method I know works in every situation. This does. But first, you need to create your principle. Or you need to find a principle. Then create a method with experiments that runs on top of that principal. If you run by my method, stop repeating the same process over and over again until it works. It'll never work. Fix your process at points of failure. That's your way to success.
