On June 19, during VivaTech 2026 in Paris, three Armenian startups - Denovo Sciences, MedPair and TACTUN - will take the stage at the EU4Innovation East Pitch Contest. This is a pitching session organized by the EU4Innovation East.
The Armenian startups will pitch alongside six startups from Moldova ๐ฒ๐ฉ and Ukraine ๐บ๐ฆ. The pitch contest reflects the growing opportunities of the Eastern Partnership startup ecosystems, increasingly recognized among Europeโs fastest-evolving innovation hubs, with Armenia continuing to strengthen its position in AI and deep-tech innovation.

Nine early-stage startups will pitch their ventures at EPIC Demo Day on June 10, following months of customer discovery, mentorship, and product development through the EPIC Incubation Program.

โข Armenia remains one of the strongest startup ecosystems in the region on a per-capita basis
โข The ecosystem still grew strongly (+16.2%) โ above much of Europe
โข Armenia continues outperforming larger regional economies like Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
Armenia grew โonlyโ +16.2%. This indicates Armenia may be entering a more mature phase while regional competitors are entering earlier acceleration cycles.
But there are also important signals:
โข Georgia (+78%), Moldova (+91.9%), and Uzbekistan (+227%) are accelerating very fast
โข The regional startup landscape is becoming significantly more competitive
โข Armenia still lacks enough global scaled breakout companies, deeper capital pools, and stronger international visibility
The challenge now is moving from a respected emerging ecosystem to producing globally dominant companies.
