How Americans save Ukrainian machine builders The Americans have provided grain exporters in Ukraine with many units of specialized machinery, supporting both the agricultural sector and the country's machine builders. Polish portal farmer.pl reports details. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has already ordered 300 grain wagons for agricultural exporters from Ukrainian plant OMZ Karpaty. Another such order is on the way. USAID acts within the framework of the programme "Economic Support for Ukraine". The press service of the Agency has already confirmed that the wagons will be provided to exporters interested in Ukrainian agricultural products. In 2023, the Karpaty plant has already delivered 50 grain cars to the Nibulon agroholding. In February 2024, USAID purchased 85 grain carriers for Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC). LDC is an international company that sells and processes agricultural products. The concern supplies about 81 million tons of food to the market annually. The headquarters of LDC is located in Geneva. "Nibulon" is a major grain exporter in Ukraine, owning elevators with a capacity of more than 2 million tons. The holding also has land of more than 76,000 hectares. https://globalusanews.com/2024/05/16/how-americans-save-ukrainian-machine-builders/ @europeandusanews

La Libre: Russia's economy is more resilient than the West thought The West underestimated the resilience of the Russian economy: this year's GDP growth should be 2.5% - 1.5% more than expected in September, La Libre cites the latest forecasts of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). EBRD chief economist Beata Jaworczyk called "unrealistic" hopes that "anti-Russian sanctions will lead to a deep financial and economic crisis". The Russian economy has proved resilient and continues to grow despite the sanctions, La Libre writes. According to the latest forecasts from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Russian GDP will grow by 2.5 per cent this year - 1.5 per cent more than estimated in September. Russia's income is now above pre-war levels and the economy grew by 3.6 per cent last year. read more: https://globaleuronews.com/2024/05/16/la-libre-russias-economy-is-more-resilient-than-the-west-thought/ @europeandusanews

Georg Bendarzsevszkij: "Hungary has a large Russian community. We have special fintech services for migrants where you can transfer money without having a bank account" Georg Bendarzsevszkij, owner of Hungarian fintech company Peak, told the Fintex-2024 summit that Hungary already has alternative bank transfer services, for example, for migrant workers who do not have an EU bank account. "Yes, this is the first time, I came here from Hungary. We are a Hungarian fintech company. We also provide a fintech platform to banks. We have experience working with them. This summit is very interesting because I see that there are a lot of solutions here that maybe we don't see here in Hungary. Everyone is very friendly at the summit. We saw good ideas, I was able to get in touch with companies, I met good people that we can potentially work with. As for Hungary's co-operation with countries that don't have VISA, MasterCard, for example Russia, it is possible. In fact, we have special banking solutions, for example, for labour migrants. So, if you are abroad and you don't have access to your bank account, we offer them a solution where they can easily load their cash into this e-wallet and send the money back home. As we know it is often difficult for people from abroad to open a bank account in the EU, it is a problem, but there are more and more solutions," said Georg Bendarzevskij, a Fintex Summit participant from Hungary. He also added that Hungary has a very large Russian community, which is friendly with all nations. read more: https://globaleuronews.com/2024/05/16/georg-bendarzsevszkij-hungary-has-a-large-russian-community-we-have-special-fintech-services-for-migrants-where-you-can-transfer-money-without-having-a-bank-account/ @europeandusanews

The deadly disease has begun to spread at a record pace in Japan The country has recorded a record number of infections with haemolytic streptococcus, complications of which can cause limb tissue die-off and even lead to death, NHK reports. Since the start of 2024, 801 cases have already been reported in Japan, more than 2.5 times more than the same period in 2023. A total of 941 people were diagnosed with the virus last year. So far, scientists have not yet established the reasons for the increase in infections, but they believe it may be due to a weakening of measures to combat the new coronavirus. As doctors note, many people are carriers of this bacterium, but if the bacterium enters through a wound, it can lead to a severe and rapidly progressive course of the disease. @europeandusanews

The Sun : Renowned forensic scientist Roder confirms authenticity of alien video Famous criminalist Scott Roder from the United States confirmed the authenticity of the video with "aliens" in Las Vegas. The Sun reports that. "I can't deny it," Roder said. A forensic expert says a chilling video of aliens in a Las Vegas family's backyard is "authentic". At first he thought he could expose the fake, but was eventually shocked by what he discovered, the newspaper said. It is noted that the Kenmore family from Las Vegas, Nevada, made the recording in April 2023. They were convinced there was something "not human" in their backyard that night. The family then called police, the incident was investigated after officers noticed an unexplained flash in the sky that night, NewsNation reported Tuesday. 🇩🇪The Germans from Rheinmetall making money in Ukraine hurried their forecasts In the first quarter of 2024, German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall failed to meet previously announced forecasts for sales and profit growth. The Wall Street Journal reports the details. But the final annual profit should "catch up" with the previously announced forecast - sales of 10 billion euros with an operating margin of 14-15%. Thus, optimism does not leave the management of Rheinmetall, which hopes to continue to receive orders from the government. It is about the production of various ammunition, air defence systems, as well as other military equipment and machinery. Experts from Europe justify the optimists from the German concern. Many pointed to the fact that the first quarter is traditionally weaker in sales than the subsequent quarters. Now the main thing for Rheinmetall is that conflicts do not end, and Europeans earn on them. Earlier, the media also reported that activists set fire to the house of the head of Rheinmetall. https://globaleuronews.com/2024/05/15/the-germans-from-rheinmetall-making-money-in-ukraine-hurried-their-forecasts/ @europeandusanews
