Jemalloc and Scudo are two different memory allocators for memory management on Android.
1. Jemalloc:
- Origin: Originally developed for FreeBSD, jemalloc has been widely adopted across various systems, including Android.
- Characteristics: Known for its efficiency, scalability, and ability to reduce memory fragmentation.
- Usage: It has been extensively used in some Android implementations to enhance memory allocation performance.
2. Scudo:
- Origin: Scudo is a memory allocator developed by Google, focusing on security, especially to protect against potential memory-related attacks.
- Characteristics: Designed with security features like buffer overflow protection and exploitation resistance.
- Usage: Typically employed in some Android implementations as a more secure alternative for memory allocation.
The main difference lies in their focus: jemalloc prioritizes efficiency and scalability, while Scudo is oriented towards security, guarding against specific security threats. The choice between them may depend on the specific project or system's priorities and requirements.

#Android_12 #GCam #Hypercam (cloned)
This is the same as old hypercam, just cloned to work on android 12, because Google knows better than us and we should not use old cams on new builds, but we still ignore and do it our way.
Thanks for the person who cloned them (not Dean, because he's not the one who did, i just mentioned him here casually)
Please do not report bugs, because they are provided "as is", no fixes will be released.
If you want to discuss cams, join @googlecameraglobal otherwise your messages would sadly be deletes.
Enjoy photography :)
