I built something I take to the heart. Derash (Fund). We have people around us and we don't know who is carrying things they were never meant to carry alone. A bill that doesn't stop growing. someone who needs help but they don't know any one to ask or they're too proud to ask. And I also know there are people who would help. I am sure of it, Not for credit or anything but to actually help people. That's why I built this. A place where someone can say plainly what they're going through, and someone else can decide to be the one who answers. The money never comes to me or the platform. It goes to them directly,into their own hands, My only job is to stand at the door and make sure the person asking is real, so that when you choose to give, you're giving to a person and not a story. i think we should stop here gang ... i’ve skipped a lot of financial questions 😁 (as an Ethiopian, that’s not really something you wanna share calturally and legally), plus some vague questions that really need more context about the person asking, their situation .. there were also some dating questions, basic insults, and a few things that were clearly suggestions meant for me to read only 😭🙏
but honestly, it’s really great to do this once in a while. i get to learn from y’all, hear your perspectives, see how you perceive me ... the good, the bad, and the ugly and understand some of the questions you guys have. everything i answered is genuinely my belief and opinion. it’s not a standard or some universal truth, so just take whatever you think is useful for you

2. build projects and get good at it
3. there are a lot of roles and job openings even in this community. apply, ask for referrals, or look for internships.

i’ve always liked software since high school, but i think around the end of 12th grade i started listening to Gugut podcasts.
they had a lot of dev podcasts that really helped me get more into it 😭

1. i always feel like i’m behind 😭 but honestly, i don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. my goals and aspirations keep changing, and there’s always something better i want to chase.
2. i ain’t successful ( not yet 😁)
3. don’t be too hard on yourself. you’re the only person you’ve got (eod all you need is one win)

i don’t think there’s anything wrong with trying different things. but at some point, sit down and figure out which one actually keeps you interested, then try to stick with it.
you might feel like you’re late, but you’re really not. once you choose something, you can train yourself to become curious, excited, and obsessed with getting better at it. this works for me with pretty much everything, not just programming 😭
