Sorry, everyone! Due to a power outage, I couldn’t run the session today. 🤦‍♂ My PC died, and I missed the window to let you all know. If the power gets back we can do it tomorrow @selfmadecoder

So, the power's out, and I’m really hoping it comes back on before the session starts. 🤦‍♂ @selfmadecoder

So, we’ll have the session Today at 7:00 PM (1:00 local time, mata). Topic: Intro to React Native for Web Devs We’ll cover the basics, build a simple app, and create both an APK and an AAB file for the Play Store. It’s not a full-on 0-to-hero course—just a quick intro with some best practices. 🔥 @selfmadecoder

Both me and my bro got ourselves some office chairs since we're upgrading our setup and spending a lot of time working. 🔥 They look and feel amazing—definitely worth it! 👌😊 @selfmadecoder

How can I access the session in a client component in Next.js using Better Auth, without having to pass the session from the parent server component? 🤔 Anyone know a better way around this? @selfmadecoder

Hey Guys, do you want me to have a live session on React Native for Web Devs? It’ll be a guide on how to transition to React Native development if you’re already familiar with ReactJS. This week alone, I’ve had like 4 people asking for resources on this, so I figured there might be a demand. The session would cover: - A high-level intro to React Native and Expo - How to move from React to React Native - Best practices and tips It won’t be a step-by-step tutorial, but more of a general roadmap and overview. Let me know if you’re interested! @selfmadecoder

v0.dev comes with figma import kek

Next.js makes writing client components feel like a crime sometimes 😁. My brain is constantly scheming, 'How can I turn this into a server component?'—even if it means wrapping the whole thing inside another component and adding unnecessary layers, just to make sure it’s a server component again (which it probably was in the first place). I know it’s kind of dumb, but that’s the cycle I’ve found myself in 🤷‍♂️ @selfmadecoder

What most people don’t realize about AI tools/websites promising to build end-to-end apps is the hidden complexity of their infrastructure. Where’s your backend hosted? How is your database managed? Since these tools target complete beginners, they rarely provide transparency about deployment details—and that’s their business model. They make deploying apps super easy, but if you’re not careful, you could burn through cash fast. These platforms often use serverless edge functions for their backend, and without proper testing, a bug or an endless-running function could cost you thousands of dollars in minutes. I’m not against these tools, but I think it’s important to understand the risks and take precautions when using them. @selfmadecoder
