TBPN just got acquired by OpenAI… not sure what it really means yet, but it kinda feels off seeing a company racing toward AGI buying the biggest daily live tech talk show 👀

i think i should wrap it here 😁 ... but i promise next time I do a Q&A, the “do you have a GF?” answer will be “yes” .. or there won’t be any q&a .. jk 😁

look, maybe you have it hard too, maybe even harder .. but i do know one thing .. you can’t let that be an excuse. the moment you say “i can’t because others are lucky or privileged,” that’s exactly when you lose. you can’t afford to play victim. what you need to do is play with the cards you’re given and deal with it. don’t even think about comforting yourself with losing .. NOOO. ( I believe this with my whole heart )
and remember… a valid excuse is still an excuse 😌 (but i get it there is an exception and extreme situations can really paralyze you )

talking about the priviage :
i used to tell my friends i’d get those jobs i mentioned in the previous post 😅 .. i was dead broke ... didn’t even have a laptop. had to borrow one from a relative and share it with @natyiu0 in a week shift (1 week me, 1 week him) back in campus.
spent whole days in the digital library at 6kilo, skipping breakfast and lunch ’cause the place would fill up and the computers were super clunky (you know if you’ve used them).
i was super broke… some low points i can’t even tell you about, only people close to me know. like the kinda situation you'd be so embarissed that made u hate being poor so much .. i even used to post to raise money for someone else to buy a PC while i didn’t have one myself 😭
and this is just the tip of the iceberg ... all this was happening while i had this channel sharing what i was learning with you guys, even my earliest nerdspace journey… like the old one .. and some people thought it was cute 😁

talking about the green underlined partit’s not just screaming into the void ... people actually listen and change their lives. i’m one of them. i started believing it was possible to get remote jobs and work because of @chapidevtalks (he even used to share screenshots of his payments), @Dagmawi_Babi, @Robi_makes_stuff, @samsonendale, @kinfishfarms, and a bunch more from code night. i also know people who achieved the same from my posts ... this isn’t a bluff or yelling into the void. it’s sharing what you know so others can do the same. if you’re in the same situation, don’t let this comfort you or become an excuse. PLEASE DON'T LISTEN TO THIS KINDA ADVICE U CAN ALWAYS BE THE EXCEPTION .. U CAN ALWAYS DO IT. @selfmadecoder

part 1: you’re both right and wrong…
you don’t necessarily need to bootstrap your startup ... finding investors is totally fine (and probably smart) unless you can be profitable from day one. but you might still need at least a months of runway before that.
living here, you could work 2 remote jobs for 2 months and literally survive the whole year ( unless u wanna live super expensive life ) giving you time to figure out your next move. plus, for credits, you can apply to startup programs that give free APIs and infra credits.

the day i discovered HTML and learned about APIs… bro, those days were insane 😂 .. you have no idea how many people i told 😭

everyday ... I’m actually one of those rare people who think feeling like an impostor can be good in the right context ... the only way to stop feeling behind is to either catch up or do everything you can to level up 🔥.. that's what i try to do everyday.

almost every day 😁 .. I hit the gym 5 times a week on average and go to church on sundays… so yeah, pretty much every day

I’d really need to know you personally to even suggest dropping out. (i don’t wanna sound like a hypocrite ... i do tell some people to do it, but only in certain cases i truly believe in)
but… please don’t 😅

my biggest regret in life was joining a boarding school in high school 😅
(brutally academic and exhausting)
i dealt with it by making sure i didn’t repeat the same mistake in uni
