NOUN Held 31st Matriculation Ceremony October 7 The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) will hold its 31st Matriculation Ceremony this Wednesday, 7th October, 2026. The ceremony will be virtually coordinated from the University Headquarters in Abuja, with all Study Centres across the country linking to the event. In a circular to all Study Centres, Registrar of the university Oladipo Ajayi advised all Centres to conduct orientation programmes for newly admitted students. The orientation is aimed at acquainting the freshers with the mode of operation of the University as an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institution and will serve as a prelude to the matriculation exercise. Meanwhile, the University has announced that academic gowns are now available for matriculating students, subject to clearance. The gowns must be returned properly cleaned not later than Friday, 9th October, 2026 Ajayi added.

Dear Students, This is to inform all students that the 2026_2 examination, scheduled to commence in October 2026, will now take place in the University Library at the University headquarters in Jabi and not at the NSCDC Sauka Study Centre. This decision is necessary to ensure that students have a proper and conducive environment for the conduct of their examinations. 🪪 THINGS TO BRING TO THE EXAMINATION Students are advised to come with the following: 1. Valid Student Identification Card (ID Card) Please ensure that your Student ID Card is readily available. It will be required to facilitate your entry into the University Headquarters compound at Jabi. 2. Laminated Examination Clearance Slip Your laminated Examination Clearance Slip will be required for entry into the examination hall. ⏰ BE SEATED 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR EXAMINATION All students are strongly advised to arrive at the University Headquarters and be seated in their respective examination halls at least 30 minutes before the scheduled examination time. Please note that examination rules and regulations will be strictly adhered to at the Headquarters. Students are therefore expected to plan their movement accordingly and arrive early enough to complete all necessary entry and examination procedures on schedule. ⚠️ COMPLETE YOUR EXAMINATION CLEARANCE EARLY All students are strongly advised to complete their examination clearance before the examination commences.
