As a young man it is important that you build your credibility early if you want you to be successful in any field in life. There's a reason why top 100 companies value working experience more than degrees in certain situations and it's because no one wants to be a Guinea pig.     Imagine you went to the barbershop or picked an uber and as soon as your butt touched the seat the barber or driver smiles and says " Sir, I must be honest to you, I have never cut hair/ driven a car in my life " . How would you feel ? I'm sure you would regret that decision or some of you who value your image or safety will immediately step out.      It's the same in the world of business , no institution wants someone experimenting with their money, resources and reputation. Very few companies are willing to take the leap of faith. This is why building credibility is very necessary.       There are so many ways to build credibilty so don't waste time  it's not too late. Here are some of the things you can do if you are serious about building the level of credibility that people would be willing to trust with bigger and better opportunities : 1. Volunteering for NGOs  or Non Profits , during your vacations or spare time. 2. Seeking mentorship from people who are doing great in the field you want to venture in or their field in general. 3. Attending workshops and seminars and connecting with people at those events. 4. Engaging in student leadership activities in school such as the SRC and other student organisations or representative bodies on campus. 5. Investing in books and material that improves your knowledge and vocabulary on whatever field you're trying to enter.

There's a saying that if you don't know where you are going, any road will take you. Spend 15 to 30 minutes today to plan your week. The best time to plan your week is the night before the week starts. The second best time is after reading this message. A weak man with a plan will beat strong man without one any day so start planning today.
