You kneel down, heart pounding, the faint scratching still echoing in your ears as you slowly lift the corner of the blanket hanging from your bed. The floor beneath is dark, impossibly so, as if the light from your lamp refuses to touch it. Your breath catches. And then you see it. A pair of eyes—not human, but narrow, glowing a dim, sickly yellow—staring back at you from the shadows. They blink, slow and deliberate. You try to scream, but the sound dies in your throat. “Choose,” the whisper says again, louder this time, resonating in your skull. It doesn’t come from under the bed—it comes from everywhere. The thing beneath doesn’t move. It simply stares, waiting. You glance down and realize something horrifying: a hand, pale and bony, is sliding out from the darkness, palm up. It’s holding something small and shiny—your house key. But that’s impossible. The key is supposed to be in your pocket. You feel for it. It’s gone. “Choose,” the voice demands once more, sharper, impatient. You realize now it’s not just asking—it’s commanding.

The knocking stopped, but only for a moment. Around 3 a.m., I heard something else: a faint scratching sound, almost like nails dragging across wood. It was coming from under my bed. I froze. Whatever it was, it didn’t stop for at least five minutes. Then I heard a whisper—so quiet, I could barely make it out. It said: ‘Choose.’ I don’t know what it meant, but I’m scared to go near the bed now. What should I do?
