After shaking off weak hands and after Trump has made his money trading crude options, Nifty now ascending toward 26000. Move will be confirmed only above 24600.
Nifty's gap resistance at around 25000 remains unchallenged. No bullish view is possible unless this gap is taken out. Now the bias is toward closing the down gap at around 23145. If this is torn through further and ferocious down move is likely.
Trump and Xi are very likely to resolve the Hormuz problem over the weekend (well things almost always happen over the weekend). It is true that bull markets usually rise over walls of fear.

Dubai and the Illusion of Safety
Dubai today lives with a quiet contradiction. Residents continue buying property, building towers, and paying extraordinary sums for apartments in places like the Burj Khalifa. Yet beneath the glitter lies an uncomfortable question: what happens if the geopolitical winds shift?
Whether Dubai’s real estate bubble bursts or not is almost secondary. The deeper issue is strategic vulnerability. If regional tensions rise, particularly with a neighbour like Iran, the Emirates could find itself living under permanent pressure. For decades many assumed that the security umbrella of the United States would always stand firmly over the Gulf. That certainty no longer feels eternal.
Imagine paying $100 million for an apartment overlooking the Persian Gulf skyline and waking up to the possibility that a hypersonic missile could be headed your way if tempers flare. Luxury does not cancel geography.
Friends in Dubai often say, “This government won’t let its people down.” It’s a comforting belief. But it raises a subtle question: who exactly counts as “the people”? In a country where the overwhelming majority of residents are expatriates without citizenship, that reassurance does not carry the same weight for everyone.
Interestingly, one of my relatives lives in Khor Fakkan, right on the eastern edge of the Emirates, close to Iran across the Gulf of Oman. She seems less worried than many in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Her view is that the bigger cities, with their concentration of wealth and symbolism, have more to fear. Perhaps she knows something the rest of us don’t.
There is also a growing trend that says something about the mood of governments under pressure. Both China and the United Arab Emirates have begun prosecuting people who share images of enemy drones or attacks online. Controlling the narrative becomes almost as important as controlling the battlefield.
An old Hindi saying captures the situation perfectly: “Samundar mein rehkar magarmachh se bair nahi karte.” If you live in the sea, you don’t make enemies with the crocodile.
Dubai’s prosperity was built on trade, neutrality, and the perception of stability. If that perception weakens, the air will not rush out of the balloon overnight. But slowly, quietly, the pressure will change.
This could happen tomorrow and Monday onward market starts stabilizing and moving up.
