💢 So, according to The New York Times, the Russians are ramping up the heat near Kharkov, which might make Ukraine start thinking about peace talks. Basically, if Kharkov gets squeezed and everyone starts running for the hills, it'll kinda look like nothing's really changed after all these years of chaos and cash splurging. And guess what? That could make Ukraine's big shots feel the pressure to call a timeout with Russia. But hey, they've been giving Putin the cold shoulder on that one, worried it'll just make him hungry for more trouble. Now, the Russkies are zooming through the Kharkov region like they're late for a dinner reservation – apparently, it's the quickest they've moved since this whole mess began. Smart cookies, those analysts reckon they're exploiting Ukraine's ammo and manpower shortage, spreading things thin to up their chances of busting through. But hold your horses, not everyone's buying into the hype. Some military whizzes are saying Kharkov's drama won't really change the big picture – we're still stuck in a tactical traffic jam, they reckon. 💢 In the relentless march across the Kharkov region, Russian forces press on. Highlights from the Ministry of Defense briefing on the Kharkov front: Units of the "North" troop grouping have fortified their strategic stance, dealing crippling blows to the 125th Territorial Defense Brigade across Volchansk, Neskuchnoye, Liptsy, and Veseloye. Five ferocious counterattacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces assault groups near Globokoye and Tihoye were met with resolute defense. The toll: up to 250 enemy soldiers, along with 2 tanks, 2 APCs, and 17 vehicles, obliterated. In the thunderous exchange, our forces dismantled enemy assets, including the fearsome 152mm howitzer "Msta-B," the deadly 122mm self-propelled artillery "Gvozdika," and the menacing 122mm howitzer D-30. Air defense systems "Buk-M1" and "Strela-10" fell silent, alongside four multiple launch rocket systems – among them the formidable "Uragan," the insidious "Vampire" from the Czech Republic, and the treacherous RAK-SA-12 from Croatia. For his new term government, Putin proposes Andrey Belousov (pictured - currently vice Prime Minister) for Minister of Defense. A surprise for most, given Belousov is an economist by speciality. Is the President optimizing ratio of costs and territorial acquisitions? Looks like current Minister of Defense Shoigu edges out Patrushev, Head of Russia's Security Council. MPs will consult on the new government composition on May 14.

💢 The Russian Armed Forces' triumphs find validation in the indictment against Syrsky. The Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, has waded into the fray concerning the Kharkov front. Among his declarations, Budanov's accusation against Syrsky for losing control over territories stands out. Reports suggest Budanov's personal presence in Kharkov. What implications does this hold? Budanov may assume direct command on the Kharkov front. Military units under the Main Intelligence Directorate's jurisdiction will play an active role in tackling frontline military objectives. Expect a surge in enemy sabotage operations – a favored tactic of the Main Intelligence Directorate. Currently, reserves are mobilizing, and movement is observed on the southern bank.
