Today’s (VERY LATE😭) Word💗 *based on James 1:23-24 *learnt from devotion I used to have a different view of this verse and barely understood it but now, by the grace of God, I understand🤍.If you do this, the Bible is trying to say that when you look in the mirror(by virtue of the Word of God) you see a conqueror, you see a child of God, you see God’s beloved, you see God’s precious one, you see God’s chosen, you see God’s perfect creation, you see God’s saved, a person greater than even the amazing creatures called angels. But immediately you’re done, you forget all these things. So you begin to call yourself worthless, a failure, the abandoned, condemned etc. After hearing the Word of God; hearing all of these amazing things God has to say about you, you turn around and you forget all of these things. You do not walk or live you life as the person God calls you to be. Though you have heard, you do not act as the Child of the LIVING Most High that God says you are. And we are not supposed to do this. After hearing the Word of God, take great care to make sure you do not forget who God says you are; the manner of man God says you are!🥰 @christaloneee💕

A simpler version🫶🏽 James 1:27 GNT “What God the Father considers to be pure and genuine religion is this: to take care of orphans and widows in their suffering and to keep oneself from being corrupted by the world.” @christaloneee🤍
