The eternal significance of Ashura lies in it being a day among the Days of Allah, when Allah granted victory to the truth and destroyed falsehood. The hearts of believers (on this day) recall Allah's support and triumph, and that He inflicts His punishment and wrath upon the disbelievers. They express gratitude to Him and fulfill His rights. ‏خلودُ (عاشوراءَ) في كونه يومًا من أيَّام اللهِ، نصر اللهُ فيه الحقَّ وأزهق الباطلَ؛ فتستحضرُ قلوبُ المؤمنين عونَ اللهِ ونصرَه، وأنه يُلحِق بالكافرين عقوبتَه وبطشَه، وتشكرُه وتؤدي حقَه.
