Everytime she comes to class, we are ready to learn certain secrets that would set us apart from the thousands of other freelancers competing for the same jobs with us on Upwork. Here are 3 success secrets she taught us on Saturday. 1. The type of profile picture to use - She explained that some profile pictures are repelling. She explained the exact type we must use in order for employers to find us as professional, yet attractive. 2. The Bio section while optimizing your profile - She explained that the opposite of the way we optimize and write our bio on LinkedIn is what we must do here on Upwork. On LinkedIn, you brag about yourself and your skills, while on Upwork, you do something differen by writing about the employer. 3. The portfolio section of our Profile as a Beginner - She explained how an absolute beginner can create a portfolio of sample jobs for himself. She showed many samples of her own portfolio.
