Continuation of the RM topic and a couple of trade hacks Earlier I mentioned that you should choose a risk management strategy and follow it rigorously. For example, always stick to one % of risk per trade. But there are details and nuances, that's often the trick. As they say, "the devil is in the details". I often find that even if a person has chosen the magic percentage for himself, then the following happens: He opens 3, 4 or 6 trades at the same time with the same risk percentage, but does not take into account that almost all alts go for the bit and that he has already overestimated the risk by a multiple of the number of open trades. Then the wrong move happens and all the trades or most of them simply get knocked out by the stops. He (or she) opens the deposit, and there is no 10-15-20%. How come? Shock, disappointment, fomo (foregone earnings syndrome), attempts to use inflated risk to recoup the lost, but as usual it is "no way". And the result, for example, -35-50% of the entire deposit for a couple of days. That's too bad. So today I bring up an important topic and describe a few reasonable solutions: 1. I recommend to be careful with trades on alts on a bear market. I myself don't go into them that often on futures right now. I mostly trade bitcoins. 2.Determine the percentage of risk of deposit per day, per week, per month, which you certainly do not go beyond. For example, it may be 4% per week or 8-10% per month. Then the number of deals you will open taking into account this mathematics. 3.I draw your attention to the fact that I always calculate % of risk from the remaining deposit. That is practically every time anew. 4. There is also a strategy to hedge your spot portfolio with shorts on futures.
