From 2 October 2026, new requirements under the Administration of Muslim Law (Amendment) Act 2024 have taken effect. Key changes include:
📋 Expanded Muslim Religious School (MRS) Definition — Those habitually providing Islamic instruction to 10 or more students monthly must register as an MRS, including online settings.
🎓 Higher Qualification for New Tier 1 — New Tier 1 ARS applicants must hold at least a degree in Islamic Studies.
⏳ One-Year Time Bar — Asatizah with cancelled, non-renewed, or unsuccessful ARS must wait one year before reapplying.
📅 CPE Reminder — Fulfil your CPE requirements before your ARS expires. Track your hours via the ILM portal.
