Ancor più divertente del set-up è lo sviluppo, l'esplorazione del mondo e le sue possibilità narrative. È ancora in corso The Alternates di Oswalt, Blum, Seeley, Fowler e Mitten, il primo spinoff di questo nuovo universo supereroistico che vede gli Alternates (un gruppo à la Doom Patrol) riadattarsi alla vita di tutti i giorni dopo aver trascorso cinque anni in una dimensione tascabile dove tutti i loro sogni più intimi si sono realizzati. In soli due numeri il team si presenta straordinariamente bene, l'atmosfera è davvero interessante e subito l'idea presenta qualcosa di diverso da Minor Threats - mostrando subito l'ampiezza del progetto.

Ieri ho letto Minor Threats di Patton Oswalt, Jordan Blum, Scott Hepburn, Ian Herring e Nate Piekos. Quattro numeri di puro divertimento e dissacrante supervillanìa senza mai eccedere, senza mai stravolgere la semplicità dell'idea originale.

Che bizzarri ricordi.
