Musical performance Ezera Skaņas is back. It will happen on August 10 at Kāla ezers.

Ezera Skanas is a musical performance that starts at 4:00 AM in the middle of a distant lake. People enter the dark water in boats and follow the first sounds that emerge from the floating village. The music fills the morning landscape and climaxes at sunrise.

LMA modes skate — fashion show you can buy tickets to and even choose your seats. Happens tonight at VEF Kvartāls. During the show, Latvian Art Academy students will present their diploma works — collections that combine themes of childhood memories and nostalgic personal stories, equality issues, and creative sustainable design solutions. The International Curators' Assembly will take place on 30 May at Zuzeum. Performance festival curators from Canada, Denmark, Finland, UK, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia will share their experiences and best practices and will address the challenges that are related to curating ephemeral arts processes. Last week, Dailes Theatre presented the new performance 'Winter's Tale' based on William Shakespeare's work:

While in Shakespeare's version, the characters navigate their relationships within the kingdoms of Sicily and Bohemia, James and his team have transported them to Silicon Valley and the virtual reality of "Bohemia". Exploring a classic narrative through parallels with contemporary social media giants has birthed a sharp satire on power, entitlement and technology.

Love the form (similar to Rothko's performance) Dailes Theatre uses in their shows, changing and adapting the form to the nuances of the modern perception of the world. Check more info here.
