These investments are separate from Palantir standard corporate operations. 3) Defense & Human Performance Contexts: Palantir works closely with defense partners (like DARPA, DoD, and UK MoD) on telemetry, situational awareness, and mixed-reality data integration, but these focus on command-and-control software rather than neural hardware. While Palantir (Gotham, Foundry) gets the most headlines, software for terrorist watchlists and counterterrorism relies on a broader ecosystem of tech giants, defense contractors, and specialized vendors: Enterprise Cloud & Data Infrastructure: AWS and Microsoft provide top-secret government clouds, while Oracle and IBM run legacy database systems. Systems Integrators & Data Analytics: Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, CACI, and SAIC build and manage large-scale classified data platforms (such as NCTC’s TIDE database). DataWalk provides competing intelligence graph databases. Biometrics & Identity Resolution: IDEMIA and NEC supply facial recognition, fingerprint matching, and iris scanning for border and airport security. Threat Intelligence & Scraping: Recorded Future, Flashpoint, and Babel Street scrape social media, open web forums, and the dark web to feed early leads to watchlists.
