Hanging Car On May 2, 2018, morning commuters in Toronto were startled to spot a car dangling off of a bridge. The car, a burnt out blue sedan, was secured with a winch system, and it was found suspended over an area that’s popular for hikers and dog-walkers. At first, police thought it was part of a movie shoot, but it was later confirmed that there was no authorized shoot that day, making it an even bigger mystery. All that’s known for sure is that the car was put there on purpose and that whoever did it knew what they were doing.  As to who and why, we can only speculate, but you kind of have to admire his/her ingenuity! @Incredible_Mysteries

WHO KILLED JFK? This is probably the biggest mystery in American history that will never be resolved to everyone's satisfaction. On Nov. 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was shot in Dallas by Lee Harvey Oswald (although some speculate that he wasn't the only shooter). On Nov. 24, 1963, before Oswald could stand trial, Oswald was fatally shot by nightclub owner Jack Ruby. Ruby died of lung cancer on Jan. 3, 1967 The most widely accepted explanation is that Oswald killed JFK on his own and Ruby killed Oswald, on his own volition. Ruby's stated motivation was to spare Jacqueline Kennedy "the discomfiture of [Oswald] coming back to trial." However there are still a significant number of professional historians, along with many amateurs, who do not agree with this explanation and since JFK's death, numerous alternative explanations have been brought forward by historians and amateurs. Given that significant new evidence is unlikely to appear, a firm consensus will probably never be reached @Incredible_Mysteries

Ghost Ship: The Mary Celeste On December 4, 1872, a British-American ship called “the Mary Celeste” was found empty and adrift in the Atlantic. It was found to be seaworthy and with its cargo fully intact, except for a lifeboat, which it appeared had been boarded in an orderly fashion. But why? We may never know because no one on board was ever heard from again. In November 1872, the Mary Celeste set sail from New York bound for Genoa, Italy. She was manned by Captain Benjamin Briggs and seven crew members, including Briggs’ wife and their 2-year-old daughter. Supplies on board were ample enough for six months, and luxurious—including a sewing machine and an upright piano. Commentators generally agree that to precipitate the abandonment of a seaworthy ship, some extraordinary and alarming circumstance must have arisen. However, the last entry on the ship’s daily log reveals nothing unusual, and inside the ship, all appeared to be in order. @Incredible_mysteries

The man who survived the explosion of two atomic bombs On August 6 and 9, 1945, the United States detonated two nuclear bombs over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki respectively. About 90,000 people died as a result of the explosions and the radiation they subsequently caused, according to official figures. In 2009, the Japanese government reported that there was one person who had been in both cities on the days of the explosions and had survived the two atomic attacks. On August 6, 1945, Tsutomu Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima on a business trip. Here is what he told the British press: "As I was walking, I heard the sound of an airplane. I looked at the sky and saw a B-29 plane dropping something on its parachutes. I looked up into the sky at them, and suddenly...it was like a flash of ignited magnesium, a strong flash in the sky, and I fell." Fortunately, Yamaguchi managed to survive. @neutron_space
