So far, on the campaign; It is mostly left-wing and left-leaning parties and politicians which have campaigned for the "Apruebo" option, and likewise, mostly right-wing and right-leaning parties and politicians have campaigned for the "Rechazo" option. On the 2nd sheet, however, not a lot of campaigns have called for the voting of the "mixta" option, the overwhelming majority of parties which campaign for "Apruebo" have called for the "constituyente" option to be voted, and the majority of "Rechazo" voters and campaigners have called upon their supporters to vote null on this second vote, meaning voting both options in order to vote none, for if rejecting the rewriting wins, no body will issue a new constitution.

It is important to explain what the plebiscite is about This is a plebiscite that will decide wether or not our constitution will be rewritten, our current constitution was aproven in 1980 by the government of Pinochet, and it has been in place since 1990, however, it was been amended multiple times over the years, mostly by left-wing presidents. Regardless of this, it has been an open goal of left-wing parties such as the communist and socialist parties to rewrite our constitution into whichever form they desire, from the years of the "concertaciΓ³n", a leftist coalition which ruled Chile for 20 years, years in which new amendments of the constitution were issued fairly commonly. There are then, two possible votes for the constitution, "Apruebo" (I aprove) and "Rechazo" (I reject), what these votes "aprove" or "reject" is wether or not a new constitution is to be issued. Additionally, there is a separate sheet in which voters may decide who issues this new constitution if "apruebo" is to win, "mixta" and "constituyente", "mixta" would mean that half of the body which writes the constitution would be popularly elected civilians, and the other half would be done by members of the parliament. "Constituyente" would mean that 100% of the rewriting would be done by popularly elected civilians.

For the americans: Here is shown a man who, upon arriving to vote, is told that he has already voted, this could mean that someone else has voted in his place before he had arrived

Votes on the new constitution plebiscite are being counted right now, let's hope for the best
