18 I found this an excellent analysis, though I disagreed with parts of it. The useful concept of coded elements in a story - symbolic archetypes that reflect deeper messages below the surface narrative to the subconscious watching brain. In a way it reminded me of an approach closer to the semiotic analyses of Derrida and ilk, which is to say signage / analysis that can be debated, as the final product is open to various interpretations.
